What's wrong with some of these agents/players?

I'm killing a little time watching NFLN and they are reporting that Fletcher Cox has turned down a contract extension with Philidelphia worth over 100m with over 60m guaranteed.

Howard Eskin claims that the reason the agent (Todd France) and Cox turned the deal down is because France represents a lot of DL players and that he wants to push for an absurd deal so it helps his other clients.

Some of these players are flat out stupid and trust their agents too much.

It doesn't do his other players any good if he signs a shit deal because he pissed off this one.

If it weren't for high profile agents/firms, salary structures would be completely different.
