Ian Rapaport@RapSheet-The @NFL schedule will be announced tomorrow, per an announcement to add to the earlier announcement about a forthcoming announcement.

Any ideas of who we'll open against? Primetime games?

Hopefully the home games aren't stacked in November and later like last year. It felt like we only had two home games before the weather got shitty.

Let me guess that they are going to give the Chiefs 3 home games the first 11 weeks again.

Who knows, Denver had 4 home games in the first 11 weeks of 2015.

Last year, KC had 4 home games in the first 8 weeks... just so happens one was given up for London. KC did have 4 home games in the final 6 last season.

Rumors are that the Chiefs will be giving up 4 home games to play in Bangladesh as part of the NFL's new outreach program.

Since Baltimore lost their home opener to Denver after their SB win, it's only fitting the Broncs open up on the road at New England on Thursday night, right?

That was because they had a scheduling conflict for the Stadium...not our fault.

If the Broncos do get the opener the rumor is Houston vs Denver.

Denver for sure gets the opener as the defending champions.

All for that Osweiler storyline. I could see it.

No, it's not. That would be stupid of the NFL.

That game doesn't need to be the season opener to draw huge viewership. They won't waste it on the week 1 slate.

Nah, that would be murdering Bronco's hope of a winning season on opening day. Texans Vs. Broncos to many juicy story lines.

Elway VS Brock ( Did Elway make right decision)
Gary VS Bill (replaced coach meets replacey)
Wade Phillips VS Romeo (aka JJ watt and the rest)

Launching point for Brock & Texans if they win, thus starting their "story"

Possible (BUWAHHAHAHA) redemption story for Mar... Im sorry lol

Enh, I get that part of it... but how much of a draw is HOU really nationally for the first game of the year? That has the danger of being a freaking defensive snoozer of epic proportions.

According to multiple sources... it's a SB rematch, and honestly - why wouldn't they go this route? They love to go big in Game 1 and as I said, with the disarray at QB, the way Denver won... it will be a solid opportunity for the Panthers to kick things into gear and start fresh. They should be loving this quite honestly.

A Denver-Carolina game would be interesting because NFL fans might want to know which team would win in a non-rigged game.

only reason I MIGHT watch the season opener is to see the Broncos hopefully lose.
otherwise. (assuming it's Carolina vs Broncos)

otherwise, meh.
of course, I really think I might actually watch some NFL football this year now that Manning is finally fucking done. He's a huge reason, along with the sorry ass coverage of the NFL by everyone, why I pretty much just watch the Chiefs on game day and go about my day afterwards.

Mile High Mania

And, here's what it looks like for Denver... you know you care. I broke it out in groups of 4 games. No prognostications on W/L at this point, but I'll say it's a tough schedule esp with the QBs they face in the first 6 weeks... thankfully, the defense is pretty much still in tact. They lost a few critical guys, but they have depth and there are still moves to be made and the draft. A week 11 bye... that's late, but it is what it is. Looks like 5 primetime games.

Interesting oddity... the 3 divisional road games, all prime-time. Honestly... the worst QBs they face, maybe Brock - Bortles and Winston? Least proven anyway, but big upside.

Sept. 8 vs. Carolina (TNF)
Sept. 18 vs. Indianapolis
Sept. 25 at Cincinnati
Oct. 2 at Tampa Bay

After the first 4 games: 2 home, 2 road - all tough

Oct. 9 vs. Atlanta
Oct. 13 at San Diego (TNF)
Oct. 24 vs. Houston (MNF)
Oct. 30 vs. San Diego

After the next 4 games: 3 home, 1 road - twice vs SD, should be another tough stretch. After 8 games, 5 home and 3 road.

Nov. 6 at Oakland (SNF)
Nov. 13 at New Orleans

Nov. 20 Bye Week

Nov. 27 vs. Kansas City
Dec. 4 at Jacksonville

The next 4 feature the bye week - 1 home, 3 road. And, again I'll say it's a tough stretch.

Dec. 11 at Tennessee
Dec. 18 vs. New England
Dec. 25 at Kansas City (SNF)
Jan. 1 vs. Oakland

And, the final 4 games - 2 home, 2 road. NE at home, nice and @ KC on Christmas - could be brutal, while closing at home vs OAK and likely a huge game with playoff implications.

04-14-2016, 06:52 PM
They stuck it to the Colts. They play in London week 4, and then don't get a bye the next week. I'm not sure I've ever seen that before.

And it's not just one game, they have to come back and play five straight until a bye, and 3 of the last 4 of those are also on the road, with the Chiefs in between.
