My dad is not a new grandpa (or papa, as we call him), but I wanted to get him something from my son (first Father's Day with him). Which of the following sayings do you think goes best on a tshirt?

1. Papa. The man. The myth. The legend.
2. Great dads get promoted to papa.
3. I’ve been called a lot of names in my lifetime but papa is my favorite.
4. I’m called papa because I’m way too cool to be called grandfather.

I really like 3, but 2 seems like it could be from both my son and me.

From a branding perspective, I bet the public associates "papa" with fatherhood rather than grandfatherhood. I'm not sure that a t-shirt with the "papa" term will achieve your goal.

That said, I'd go with this:

My dad was Papa to all the grandkids. They went that way so the grandkids didn't get confused about who the different Grandpas were when they were younger.
