His new girlfriend is over at the house (his mom's house where he lives in the basement, seriously) every day and they go back to their shed/barn a couple of times a day for 15 minutes or so. I wouldn't have noticed, but I can see the shed from my family room couch. I thought nothing of it, but last night he was push mowing a huge lawn in the dark.

Heh! They just went in the shed right now. Ugh! His mom is so great, but is starting to show signs of Alzheimers. Kind of worried about the situation.

I've lived in an area that has been infested with tweakers for years. I've seen normal people become tweakers. You don't want anything to do with them... At all. They are a crazy bunch... And they will leave you alone if you leave them alone (and don't have a supply anhydrous ammonia. Trust me...time will sort things out and they'll eventually get caught. They always do. As a former drug user of all types. It's probably pot. Smoking meth really has no smell unless you have smoked it before. You can snort and shoot that stuff up in a basement in a matter of minutes, plus, if it's halfway decent stuff you only need a "fix" every 3-5 hours. Pot is really the only thing that's tough to mask, and sadly the only one that really is not harmful. If it's every 30 minutes then it's cocain or crack, I know, same thing different forms Again. Both can be done in the basement so probably not.

If he's tweaking you'll see rapid weight loss. They generally stay up all night and lack appetite. It won't take but a week or two to notice the weight loss. As someone else mentioned, their face will start to look sunken.

I don't know about the whole "They'll leave you alone thing" that someone mentioned though. Tweakers generally turn into thieves, as they'll steal to support their habit.

Some tweakers will pick at their face; skin etc. Not all though.
