Happy Fathers Day. Visiting my Dad later today at his new place. He has started displaying signs of dementia so he has moved to a facility that provides services for that. The Mrs. is taking me and the youngest out to breakfast. How about everyone else?

Happy Father's Day everyone. I am celebrating by doing what I do every day. Working. Gotta grout a floor I tiled yesterday and tear up some glue down flooring. Yay, much better than relaxing, amirite??

Taking my boys to the pool, grilling out, and getting to bed early. Couldn't ask for more.

If my Dad were alive, I'd be taking him to the Royals game - that was kinda our thing to do.

RIP, Dad

As far as me, my kids just got back from a Mission Trip late last night. I'm sure they will be sleeping in until nearly Noon. We'll just hang out together, might watch some US Open/Royals Game, and then I have some baby back ribs that I will be grilling up later today. Just a pretty chill day.

Cecina for breakfast. NY Strips for lunch. Ribs for dinner.
So apparently I'm giving a heartattack.

Gotta go check my irrigation. Then go see my grandpa at the care home. Probably not much after that. Then Game of Thrones.

Hang out inside. Hot and humid today. Wait for the internet guy to show up.

The kids are busy with work and play practice so we went to Finding Dory last night.

Happy Fathers Day everyone.

Gonna be an easy cook day for me: Just the same family/friends pool party with take-out pizza, ice-cream and smores for the kids.

I'll just have a salad and grilled veggies followed by some berries. So I can make room for the calories in my Mojitos. After I swim, of course. Wouldn't want to drown.

Taking my 2 youngest golfing this afternoon, then stopping by to see my dad.

Happy Father's Day!

We're in San Diego, as always this weekend every year. Having a great time with my dad and my two sons. Yesterday my 4.5 year old said "Daddy, when I grow up will you still hug and kiss me?" Total heart melter. Being a dad is the coolest.

I would have broke down in tears after hearing that. That's a special moment, my man. And yes, kids make it all worth while

I'm on call and it's going to be 100 degrees out so it probably won't be much of a holiday for me.

MarkM came down to visit and play nightly WoT games. We did change out 4 of 6 dock lines yesterday. It'll take a week or so for him to recover.

Waiting on the Royals game to start. Grill some pork chops and turkey tenderloins. Maybe some corn on the cob. And home made mashed potatoes. Just me and the dogs nice lazy day.

Lost my dad in 2011. He was 82. Think of him every day. He was a HUGE Chiefs fan. I just went down to Arkansas to help my mom move into assisted living. My mom & dad retired to Hot Springs in 1993. From 1993 till 2011 I used to tape every Chiefs game and send it to him, because in Arkansas they always got the Cowboys and he HATED the Cowboys. When I went down for the house clean out, he still had all those tapes and DVDs I sent him. I brought a bunch of the VHS tapes back to save to DVDs. He had the full 1993 Montana season, and lots of great games after that year.

Here's a pic of my dad in Korea. He said it was his favorite picture of him from his army experience.

i've been lucky to have 4 sons by three different women...

2 of them have kids and the oldest is 13 now...

so it's a great father's day for me, no matter what we end up doing...

i only wish i could spend it with my kids and grandkids in michigan too...

Went on a half day float with my Dad, my wife, and our two boys (1 & 3). I asked our three year old what his favorite part about today was and he said, "catching that big fish and showing it to Grandpa."

It was a good fucking day. Made me happy to be alive.

My neighbor called and asked if I wanted to go flying. I knew he had an old 1940's Navy fighter/training plane so I was pretty excited. We went up to the hangar and he told me it was getting worked on. Instead, we drug out his 1953 Piper Cub. It was canvas covered and it really felt like I was sitting in a coffin. Plus, he flies it like he flies the Navy trainer. I'm pretty sure we ended up with the sagebrush in the wheels from him banking and diving over the hill climbs that were going on and over his shooting range where they were having a long distance shooting class.
