The crowd is definitely smaller than last night. I am 3 rows back next to the dugout and last night I was in row 2. I'm pretty sure I could never get these seats back home.

At Kauffman they have ushers that check your ticket for any of the 100 sections. If there's one surplus at Kauffman Stadium, it's the 70 year old ushers.

EDIT: Oh, did you buy those seats? Or did you buy seats and move to the 2nd row?

I bought seats down here for all 4 games online for about 50-60 a game. An usher checked my tickets but he only checked the first few rows. I imagine it would be pretty easy to move up close after the game started.

YV is no Duffy. And yeah, this little girl bitch is a liability. I'd love to trade him to somebody in the division so we could light him up a few time a year.

Then again, I'm not sure what his trade value is. We'd prolly have to give him away and sport for most of his salary for a few years.

That doesn't mean Ventura will suddenly become great, but when you have that kind of talent you keep running him out there in some capacity until he gets it.

World Series Championships = Super Bowl Championships.

But, to be honest, the Pioli/Roger era has robbed me of my passion for the NFL. I'm hoping that a deep run in the playoffs could change that, but beating Uncle Rico of the Texans last year didn't really do it for me. I'm hoping Alex/Reid can prove me wrong.

Now back to baseball. Great work by Strahm getting out of the inning.

duncan_idaho
08-02-2016, 07:48 PM
Think Strahm will play into the team's plans next year, either out of the pen or possibly sneaking into the rotation.

Really like that fastball/slider combo, and the reports on his changeup at NWA were solid. That pitch will ultimately determine what he is in the majors.

I think it takes more of a team effort with contributions needing to happen from just about everyone to win a World Series. In the NFL, that's definitely not always the case and a few Super Stars can win big games.
