What a game from that guy. He was one of the only bright spots in the first half and was a beast in the second.

I can't wait to have Charles back there with him.

I think this team will be ok without Charles.

Ware is awesome.

Spencer Ware was extremely underpaid this last offseason.

Oh Yeah!

Charles and Ware and Sherman all in the same backfield.

Go 3 back, 1 WR, 1 TE as the base formation. Give me WOOD.

I wanted Ware for my second running back on my fantasy team but someone else got him before I could =( He had 199 total yards today right?

Looked like marshawn Faulk today. Complete beast mode in between the tackles, and showed exceptional finesse as a receiver.

Jamaal who? Spencer Ware should be the Chiefs permanent starting RB.

Coach

Ware has done a fantastic job on his catching abilities on the offseason. It looked like he was a natural at that today. That 21 yard catch before getting out of bounds was just a thing of beauty on the OT drive.

The man was lights out, absolutely incredible

A punishing, never say die runner who is also capable of being the teams leading receiver

I thought he was a really good pure running back, but I never thought he could catch like he did today.

It's surreal to even consider this, but it may actually be true.

Unless by some miracle the Jamaal Charles of a few years ago comes back, Ware is clearly the Chiefs best current option at RB.

Jamaal has been great but Spencer Ware is the future and he's shown it starts now. Jamaal would make a great change of pace though. Can you imagine Ware banging up the defense then bringing in Jamaal's speed?

I mean don't get crazy for no reason. Ware is a sick talent and we're lucky to have him. But he's no Jamaal Charles.

Luckily it's not an either-or situation. Ware is much better at short-yardage and ball security, but Charles is one of the scariest players in football with the ball in his hands. I would still be looking to give him 60+% of touches.

Which Jamaal Charles are you referring to?

The Jamaal Charles in the prime of his career before his second major knee injury?

Or the current version of Jamaal Charles, a 29 year old RB recovering from his second major knee injury during the past five years?

He's an absolute beast and faster than he looks.

There is no reason to sign Charles to another contract.

I wish Smellway was here to do some gifs for us. I'd love to see a gif of the play late in the fourth where Ware destroyed a pass rusher with a chip on his way out into a route.

I can't wait to see the Charles/Ware combo. The West/Ware worked pretty good last year, but West isn't in the same atmosphere as Charles. Ware looks soo much better than last year, that having them both could be amazing. Here's to hoping Charles comes back as his full self.

Hate to say it. I love Charles, but Ware needs to get the majority of plays. We should almost use Charles as another receiver and third down back.

I like that he brings the power element to our offense but combines it with some finesse in the passing game.

Cycle him and Charles and profit.

He finished a yard short of 200 total yards at 199: 70 yds rushing 129 yds receiving

6.4 yds /carry
18.4 yds per catch

That's one hell of a game

Mr. Laz

Ware has turned into quite the receiver.

It will free us up to use Charles in a lot of different ways.

No. It was Gaines, Nelson, Peters, and White who stayed on the field.

It may not be feasible, but I admit that part of me thinks that Jamaal would be a great receiver if we split him out wide. He's got the speed and the hands, and wide receiver screens would become a greater weapon of terror than the Mongolian hordes.

It's a great luxury to have, but I will be curious to see how they both get focus when Charles returns. I started Ware today, so I'm obviously fine if he continues doing what he did today.

Brees, Ware and Cooks sealed my win.

What did Spencer Ware do at LSU? I seem to recall him as the blocking back, but really I don't have much recall of him in college at all.

I had no idea he was such a receiving threat. I figured that was Charcandrick's role.

Christ, nice starts. Did cooks get bonus points in your league for a reception over 90 yards?

Nope, we don't have that... and I have Luck on my bench (yes, I gambled and took QBs high)... which explains why I'm starting Ware.

He's apparently benefiting from a strong supporting cast at KC.
