And I thought the Glendale QB getting 500 yards and 5 touches through three quarters was excessive.

WTF? Go Spoofhounds!

This is a good thread idea, BTW.

We just did a project where we followed six high school teams that lost the state championship by a touchdown or less and documented their journey back to this season, with the photographer Robert Clark who shot Friday night Lights.

I thought kickapoo would beat them. Crazy.

My dad is the white hat of his crew and had Glendale last year, their qb three it 70 times.

Kid has spent as much time at our house as his own. His dad was killed years ago so I have gotten very close to him, especially through sports. Coaching him in little league football, baseball and basketball. My grand son stopped playing football to focus on basketball while Demond has continued playing both football and basketball. He leads all state rushers after 4 games, they are a 6A school, they won last night 42-13, now 5 - 0, I haven't heard what he did yet. The kid has potential at the next level.

That's pretty special, Roy. Good on you for continuing a strong male presence in the young man's life, and I'll bet that it's pretty rewarding seeing his hard work pay off through your guidance. That's awesome bud.

I got to announce the JV games of the kids who are starters now two/three years ago. Glad to see Mauk's system pay off.

And Discuss Dad is an official, so that's nice.

It is, kid took a hard turn left and got into drugs, rebounded, got a girl pregnant, has a son, missed his whole Sophomore and Junior seasons because of it. It took many of nights and days but the hard work than not only I, but a few others have invested into this kid has appeared to pay off. His grades will keep him from probably playing D1, so he will shine at the next level. ( Providing all goes well )

But that 9.9 yard average is going to be hard to keep up in 6A ball.

My little buddy is still clipping away on the gridiron. In game # 5, 30 carries, 321 yards with 2 TD's.

For the season, he has 103 carriers, 1045 yards and 8 TD's.

Still undefeated. It's a bid deal around here since we are not known to have a very strong program. The state writers have not jumped on board either for a good reason. Their tougher games will be coming up soon, time will tell if they have something special or a season with an * besides it.

FTR, I don't see them getting past the 2nd round of the state playoffs.
