Not sure how they quantify winning team (look at end of season record?) but interesting study...

http://www.prideofdetroit.com/2016/8/30/12672496/analyzing-the-on-the-road-against-winning-teams-narrative

I also made a challenge to anyone that could find a quarterback that is more successful on the road against winning teams than Tom Brady. I decided to answer my own challenge. I now present you with the records for every current starting quarterback in the NFL on the road against teams with winning records.

So let's talk about some of these. Russell Wilson appears to be the only quarterback that can handle the pressure on the road. Aaron Rodgers isn't the greatest quarterback in the universe. Tom Brady, Eli Manning and Drew Brees are really old. I was right about Brady having the most wins on the road against winning teams. Finally, will somebody please hold Ryan Fitzpatrick and tell him that everything is going to be ok?

I do not like the idea of a streak that long, my inclination is to always assume its about to be broken

You should delete this thread, Clay... you're playing with bad juju here

If the streak is broken, that would indicate the Chiefs will be a winning team at the end of the season. Take heart. :D

Home Field Advantage is alive and well in the NFL.

I'll bet you can look at the win percentage of the host team in games not involving Brady, P. Manning, Rodgers, Rivers and Brees over the last 10-15 years of football and not see this borne out.

My assumption is that a "winning team" would be defined as a team with a winning record going into the game. If that is correct, then the Chiefs don't qualify.

I think it's the opposite. He looked at end of season record. Pain in the ass to look at each and every opponent going into every game.

Poor bastard has played for the Jets and Buffalo.

@ New England is pretty much an automatic loss every year.

Hmm. Adding Wilson to that list of QBs and excluding the "home" game in England, KC has a 56% home winning percentage from 2002-2015.

Fitzpatrick is either really good or really bad. if the Jets have a lot of 3 and outs and he doesnt get a lot of reps and he cant get in rhythm he is awful and will throw terrible balls, many of which will be up for grabs.

Fitz is 4-2 against the Chiefs overall and 2-1 in Arrowhead. He ain't shaking in his cleats especially when he studies film of our D and sees that at this point it is a Paper Tiger D. Will be another nail baiter game that could go either way.

I just lost my KC zippo,
I got this before last season
and we have won and lost games when I have had it
sometimes on winning days it ran out of fluid, many game we won i HAD NO PROBLEM,
A FEW OF THE GAMES WE LOST IT DID NOT RUN OUT OF FLUID

SO ITS THIS AN omen?

Flip a coin.

My faith in this team is waning, just like last year. i don't think they have another one of those in them.

The Jets are a horrid team, even a D- effort beats them. They are worse than Texans by far and the Texans are bottom 10 in the league.

This is the easiest win of the year folks.

You'd better go buy another Zippo. If you don't, and they lose, it's your fault.
