New World Order

He's a nut. From Bills corner Stephon Gilmore last year:

“I don’t know what’s up with him. He acts like nobody’s supposed to hit him and you’re supposed to let him catch the ball. He’s weird. He gets mad when you play physical with him. He’s weird.

“He’s different. It’s kind of like you’re playing your little brother and he gets mad at you for being too physical with him — throwing a tantrum. I’m like, ‘Man, we’re playing football. It’s a physical game. […] He’s a prima donna. He feels like he’s on top of the world and nobody’s supposed to do anything to him.”

OBJ has a little of that young Chad Johnson in him. Chad never really hurt anything, but he was a diva on the field because he cared.

Ill take 3 of him on my team.

Especially not concerned with the last pic of him "caring"

I want players who care and want to win...rather than collect a paycheck.

I'd agree about the last .gif, but the second would be inexcusable to me as a coach.

True. I suppose they're not mutually exclusive.

Do you generally tend to have a negative view of his antics or positive?

The offense he's currently in has taken away the one thing he's truly great at (catching the deep ball.)

Clearly passionate and eccentric as well. He's simply different.

Just like Peters, he needs to learn to control his emotions a little bit better when things are not going his way. Then he will be fine.

I don't like his antics. But I can absolutely see how coaches would put up with it. Fortunately his antics are normally just over-the-top emotion, as opposed to something cruel like beating up women.

Dude's possibly the most talented receiver the league has ever seen. I'd take him as well. I've just noticed that he seems to be a crybaby ass bitch and probably kind of weird as NWO's quoted from Bills players would indicate.

It's generally harmless but he definitely specifically targeted Josh Norman's head, punched a Bills player, and caused a pretty big brawl in a game against the Rams last season.

I immediately thought of Dez Bryant after seeing his tantrum yesterday. He's mellowed out incredibly over the past couple seasons, as did Randy Moss, so there's hope for OBJ to mature.

I don't think it is, but I do agree that OBJ is special, and I wouldn't argue putting him behind Moss.

I feel the same way about him as I did about Sterling Sharpe. He's not the best in the league yet but he could be one of the best all time.

But right this minute Antonio Brown is better.

Moss produced big during the pre-defensive holding NFL, and they also didn't allow the super stickem' gloves like they do now.

Beckham couldn't carry Terrell Owen's jock, much less be compared to Randy Moss.

Good gravy, now that's a match up that's sure to be epic. I'm half worried MP would go all OBJ on OBJ.

Doesn't happen often but Cincy kept AB in check last week. Was he shadowed by one CB all game & someone did an outstanding job covering him or?

Week in & out the other team knows AB's gonna be targeted but yet he's very seldom slowed down.

Everything old is superior!

Never mind the fact that both these players had huge swaths of time when they didn't do jack.

And I LOVE me some Randy Moss. But don't forget the Raiders years.

Beckham would melt down being pressed and mugged every play.

He wouldn't be making the highlight reel catches without those gloves, either.

I think gifs two and three should get him fined at least. He should also be made aware that this type of behavior is going to put an even bigger target on him to have those types of treatments done back to him or worse and when it happens that he had it coming to his bitch ass.

There isn't stickum, much less superglue, that exists in the world that enables wide receivers to make one handed catches like OBJ does.

In fact, it was a big topic after Beckham made that catch.

"Those gloves that they're using today — there's no way Odell Beckham would've made that catch without those gloves. Back in my day we used to use those scuba diving gloves. Gloves just give you a different feel for the ball. I had 1,549 receptions and 22,895 yards. If I had the gloves they have today I think everything would've doubled."

You are 100% correct. Marino might have thrown for 6k in today's NFL.

It also makes what his receivers did that much more impressive. Clayton and Duper weren't huge guys.
