Anybody have Laringytis. How fucking long does this shit last ???

Had the Flu from hell on Sunday 10/16. You know the day we beat The Raiders. 2 days later I awoke with Laringytis. So 8 fucking days now unable to speak.How much longer am I going to have to live like this ??? Anybody else had the shit ? This is horrible when I have business people especially the vet I need to have conversation with !!! And no I don't have time to go to no damn doctor !

When I was in my twenties I would occasionally get laryngitis. I had always thought it was something made up on TV as a plot device, but it was real. I could not make a sound. I was like Rudolph Valentino without the piano background. It was weird, but it would only last 2 or 3 days and then I could yell at other drivers again.

No, my throat has never hurt. Never ever had it before. Just the Flu from hell that Sunday. Then two days later no voice. Today is day #8.

Every time I've gone to see a doctor they give you a bunch of stuff to take and you spend $200 and lose half a days work and you're well in 2-3 days. Every time I've not gone to the doctor I didn't have to miss work and was well in 2-3 days. Doctors visits are overated. So from what I've read is two weeks is somewhat normal. I don't want to go to the doctor and give the bastard $200 and him tell me it's got to run its course. I'll wait to see if I start bleeding from the anus a little.

This is what caused it. Seriously, just don't use your voice for a bit and if you have to, whisper it. You need time to heal and if you just carry on like normal it will never heal and can be damaging.
