so, on the jersey's, there will be positive and negative velcro strips for offense and defense. in strategic locations. so if a defensive player puts his shoulders on the qb's knee's, the strips stick together. if a receiver puts his hands on a corners back shoulders as a push off, then the strips will stick. no need to question if it was a helmet to helmet hit.

the only problem is, i am having a hard time conceptualizing what the uniform and helmet may look like? i call on chiefsplanet to help design the new nfl uniform, to improve safety, and officiating consistency.

not exactly like this, but break it up into about 85 parts and it would cover all penalty calls. as a matter of fact, embed them with led lighting. and then all you need is one referee. the one in the booth to hit the reset button between each play.

a start with the helmet may begin here:

Your avatar might be a superior idea to the OP. Make all NFL teams have animal mascots, then make the players wear that animal pelt as their uniform.

Don't know about player safety, but inebriated viewing would outstanding.

MORTY: Ah! It's Velcro. I can't stand Velcro. It's that t-e-a-r-I-n-g sound. I used to be in raincoats. I refused to put that in any of my lines.

I have said all along the NFL will eventually legislate itself out of business as time goes on with all the trial lawyers coming after this billion dollar industry along with legislating the rules hamstringing the defenses more and more because the fans want high scores. The only rules I support are QBs being protected, helmet to helmet, trench play protecting the knees of O and D lineman and blind side blocking of defenseless players that have no chance of making a play. Now if they have a chance of making a play then you can blindside them.:D

Horse collar rule is just horse manure and I don't care if they cause knee injuries or not. They have adjusted that rule to now where all you have to do is just grab the back of the jersey not even in the collar and it's a penalty.

Others will make fun. I will applaud your inventive creativity even if it will never happen if for no other reason than Goddell won't let jersey sales take the hit so the players must continue to do so.
