I don't think so. If he was runner up each week but different players won potw each week for a month then he should be in consideration. At least he has been consistent.

Is it a good thing for the team's kicker to be called on so often? It's probably not ideal since it's caused by our offense getting bogged down in the red zone so much.

But at the same time, it's nice to have a kicker who can get the job done, just like it's nice to have a defense that can create points. Without Santos's consistency, this past month looks like a disaster.

I was thinking about him the other day. He made the field goal in overtime to tie it up and then made the field goal to win it against Denver. He also made the winning field goal against Carolina. He's been nailing the high-pressure kicks. I like that in a kicker.

And on top of that, he's singlehandedly the best kickoff coverage team we've ever had. That's the value of 11 guys.
