Not this year.

I liked Alex the last couple years. Not anymore. He stopped using his legs. Now he's fucking worthless.

I'd rather have Geno as my starting QB in 2017. Money-wise it's worth the risk, and even then, I'll bet it's likely we'd get improvement out of the QB position just slightly.

The best solution is to not trust either of them and find our own QB, of course, but beggars who have been starving since 1983 can't be choosers.

This

Supporters of Geno Smith are no less qualified at grading quarterbacks than anyone working for the Chiefs, as this franchise couldn't find a quarterback in the draft if their life depended on it.

Given the decline we've seen out of Alex this year, are you "Smith is fiiiiiine!!!" lunatics reeeeally prepared for the shit show we're about to see that is Alex Smith's 2017 season.

I really hope Andy is as clairvoyant with this decline as he was with Donovan McNabb. Because this shit is coming, boy. Alex is going to hit a brick fucking wall, and there's not much we can do about it.

Without his legs, our offense loses a significant dimension. I think that's overwhelmingly a big reason why we can't run the ball right now.

Getting the focus back on Geno Smith - I think he's had plenty of time to prove that the NFL game is too much for him. He's just not effective and he's a turnover machine.

He might be able to deal with the CFL, but I think he's done as an NFL quarterback.

Yep, Geno was my lesson in "first for first's sake"-not being a well thought out strategy.

That said, the bigger question remains:

Had there been a VIABLE 1st round selection that year, would Reid have given the green light to acquire him?

Those who believe in Reid will argue, "yes, yes, YES(!)" all the live-long day but I contend that once the acquisition of Honey Boo-Boo11 was complete, there was no way in hell that he would have dared risk undermining the confidence of his newly acquired..."Quarterback":Lin:in any way, shape, or form.
