I'd rather have the first round bye and avoid having to play in the Wild Card round.

Last year the Chiefs had about as easy of a Wild Card game as you can have yet by having to play in that game it still meant sustaining a key injury with Maclin's ankle injury.

Less games to have to play in to advance the better IMO.
