Just how fucking retarded are you on a scale of 1-10?

I'm guessing 10.74.

I think Sutton is just a couple decades too old. I'm always concerned about toub getting offers.

How many current HC are special teams coaches?

Direckshun
12-27-2016, 10:17 PM
Definitely maybe.

The Bills aren't going to get anybody you'd traditionally want to coach that team. They may have to look a little outside the box.

Weren't Andy Reid and Bill Belichek special teams coaches?

I know harbaugh is. I'm gonna look up his trajectory. Do guys just go straight from special teams to head coach?

Doubt it. We are for sure losing Chris Ballard though.

Harbaugh only one in two decades. Only five current ones have even gotten hc interviews, including toub.

Levy, vermeil, ditka, and bellchick as well but only harbaugh was straight from special teams background although even he had defensive backs coaching responsibilities.

Toub should but I'm not sure.

DaneMcCloud

Sutton no.

Toub should but I'm not sure.

Toub will be 55 years old before the 2017 season begins.

He's never been a head coach at any level and he's not a "sexy" hire.

He's been a Special Teams coordinator since 2004 and was nothing more than a Strength and Conditioning coach before that.

His resume doesn't pass muster for a team looking for a savior, let alone, a $4 million dollar per year deal.

Sutton is so old he thinks 2010 is recent.

Where do you think our Director of Player Personnel will be going? According to several articles he has "scared" teams such as the Bears in interviews.

I do not know it is what was in an article from January of this year about his interviews with the Bears and Titans GM position.

I could see Todd Haley getting a second shot. He'll maybe another Chiefs cast-off does good in Buffalo.

Why doesn't Patricia ever get a look yeah everyone knows Bill is that coordinator.
Maybe Josh Daniels. Time to retire guys like Fisher he had his day.

Everyone who has left the Patriot cult has failed on their own. Patricia knows his limit and knows who really calls the D and McDaniel knows who really calls the offense as well. It will take a lot to move those guys I bet.

The Bills can't hire a savior. It's toxic.

They're going to have to settle for a potential diamond-in-the-rough bargain, or they will have to settle.

Nobody wants to coach in Buffalo. Toub could be a real option there.

12-28-2016, 01:41 PM
I'm not sure if Toub deserves consideration or not. I know he's a great ST coach but I'm not qualified to speak to his ability to be more.

I do think that organizations get caught up in choosing guys based on name. Hot coordinators and retread coaches. I'm not sure STs coaches, even great ones, have the headline appeal that attracts many front offices.

Imo that's more on Andy Heck and the Oline than the RBs

Our offense line hasn't been polished for the last several seasons. At least we are much better at handling stunts this year. Alex Smith has less than 3 seconds to throw the ball and our run blocking is really weak.

Maybe part of that is because of our offense. When an entire defense can line up within 10 yards of the LoS because they aren't worried about explosive plays it makes it harder to block.

One of my favorite plays Sunday was a third down where a lb blitzed up the middle and ware picked him up. Smith didn't flinch and stood directly behind ware waiting for kelce to get open and we got the first down.

Really? He wont be the HC there. They'll probably do something dirty like make him a big $$$ offer and give him some BS title of ASSISTANT HC / Special Teams, so he'll be able to leave to be their ST Coach....

GoChargers

I like that the Chargers are interviewing him. Might be a good omen in the coaching search. Usually, the Chargers would ignore a candidate like Toub because he isn't the safe, bland conventional-wisdom hire.
