I was reading where Eric Berry was injured in the game vs Sandy Eggo yesterday, i must have really been hungover from NYE to miss this.

How serious is the injury?

Injured his heel but that's about all the info. I've seen. With our luck it's a career ender.

Reid said that he expects both Berry and Houston will be ready to play for our playoff game.

Hopefully Berry doesn't make a "business decision" and decide to sit out so he can be healthy for free agency.

His leg fell off and they had to ducttape it back on.

If only your father made a "business decision" and pulled out.

I hope they don't need to amputate his leg like they had to do with Derrick Carr!

Hits home how scary it must be for players playing under the tag.

A bad injury at this time of the year could mean not earning a penny next year.

Yep. Looked like it happened on the Gates TD. He stepped very awkwardly right before he made the tackle at the GL.

Reid said his "Achilles was sore," which scared me a lot... specifically because they were worried about the same thing with DJ for a few weeks before his blew out.

Berry has had issues with his heel in the past. This is the first i've heard about an Achilles though. IIRC, it caused him to miss quite a bit of TC time two seasons ago.

I thought that was Brandon Flowers?

Flowers wasn't on the roster two seasons ago. I specifically remember Berry missing a significant amount of TC due to a heel issue, and i wanna say it was the same season he was diagnosed with cancer.

Yep. Here's an article from August, 2015 that talks about it

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/08/10/chiefs-letting-eric-berry-ease-back-into-practice-routine/

talking about coming back from cancer

“We’re really going on him and the docs and how he feels,” Sutton said. “He’s feeling better everyday. He’s getting back into football, too. He missed a lot of this training camp a year ago with the Achilles injury and he got nicked up again. . . .

FYI, he's fine. A little sore but thanks to the raiders inferior o-line, he has two weeks to recoup.
Both him and Houston will be there to kick the shit out of whatever team enters arrowhead.

It's sad to think about, but it just seems that Berrys time in KC is winding down.

I really hope he doesn't tear his Achilles in the playoffs...but that concern paired with the possibility of cancer returning makes giving him a huge FA deal very risky.

There's no more concern about him tearing an Achilles than there is about Tyreek Hill blowing an ACL. This isn't old as Derrick Johnson who's already blown am Achilles.

And if shit doesn't go right, they'll restructure or cut him.

If this was much of a concern, Reid wouldn't have said it was precautionary or that he expected everyone ready to play in two weeks.

Derrick's was tender before he tore his and why he was sitting out several practices before he tore it. Boss is correct.

Berry is a beast. Some days he's at the gym at 530 on days I'd assume he has practice too. That guy has 1 hell of a work ethic.

That's an average wake up time for most Americans to get up and go to work. Are you a millennial that sleeps in until 12 as you decide which cereal to eat for breakfast as you prepare for your day's work on Madden ?:D
