View Full Version : Football Seriously? Punched hole in the wall?

Give it a rest, I have replaced several doors, patched a wall or two, never hit my wife or a family member. You can say they don't punch back, I say glad it wasn't you. The media treating this like a crime scene is ridiculous, gonna have to interview the grounds crew as they heard a pounding on the wall? It's an on going investigation? Geez, fix the wall and move on.

Ok, then maybe put that in the OP so people might be able to have some semblance of a conversation about it.

Personally, I don't have a problem with the incident, but connecting this incident alonside his game yesterday, the pics in Miami, and the warming up shirtless pregame (and the infamous kicker's net) paint a pretty ugly picture for him.

If this were an isolated incident, I would be inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Yes, he can play, but you have to question where his head is.

Used to do stupid shit like that far too often... usually, no always accompanied by heavy drinking. If I could have stopped my younger self from doing things like that, I'd have been happier today. If I drilled a wall or face today, I'm really not sure if the target or myself would be in more pain. :(

I punched a hole in the wall after the '95 playoff loss myself, so I have no room to judge.

It's far from isolated. The guy obviously has some screws loose. He seems entirely incapable of controlling his emotions.

And that video doesn't even include things from locker rooms/behind the scenes. As reported, apparently he was slamming his head into a metal door after the week 17 game AND doing the same last night before punching the hole in the wall.

Odell Beckham is a brain case but who gives a shit about him?

He got in a fight with a kickers net and the kickers net won.

If he would have put as much energy into catching balls that hit his hands yesterday, perhaps he wouldn't have to beat up the wall.

It's still hard for me to fathom how a guy as important as he is would decide to take a boat trip to Miami less than a week before your first playoff game. The guy has a screw loose.

When the Chiefs lost in 95 I tore a whole fucking wall out.

I was a teenager I didn't know how to deal with that kind of a let down.

The Chiefs have made me a rock, though.
Disappointment is something in which I am now very well versed.

That said, I am not in fear of disappointment this weekend.

KC bout Roll Pitt.

Rothlisberger gonna be running to the local locker room like:

"My grandmamma gay me dat chain ugh huh huh huh sniffle"

I break doors when I've been drinking, but I'm never pissed when I do it. I move too fast and dont get the handle turned before I walk through the door.

You sound like an ESPN talking head.

The boat trip, a week earlier, had nothing to do with his performance. The Cowboys had the "white House" during their Super Bowl runs and wins. If you believe the old stories about the Steelers, the entire OL had a huge coke party the night before their Super Bowl win.

Sounds like you have anger and impulse control issues like Beckham. He needs to get control of himself. It is not good behavior and should be got in check.

You know the first round of the playoffs were full of atrocious games when the lead story following the games is a player punching a hole in the wall.

He laid a giant turd on Sunday.

He drew attention to himself knowing he's a lightning rod of criticism. And he didn't back it up. If it was just any guy (nobody cares that Cruz and Shepard were on that same boat). But it was a guy who has been a continuous distraction. Even Eli, Mr diplomatic, didn't seem too happy with it.
