Hold the team to no touchdowns, lose by 2 points...

Same as it ever was.

yep, Andy needs to hire a true OC and give up play calls. He is absolutely garbage at it. How do ytou hold the Steelers to 6 field goals and lose the game.

The Chiefs are the masters of heartbreak in the postseason. I'll give them credit, this was a much closer and more competitive game than I imagined it would be. Unfortunately, with our current set-up, this is the ceiling for Andy Reid and Alex Smith.

If Andy and the Chiefs want to win a title they need to do a few things,

1. Draft a quarterback in the 1st round. The team has never developed a quarterback in their history, and relying on other teams damaged goods has proven to be a surefire way to postseason misery. Alex isn't going to lead us to the promised land, but if Andy wants to give him one more go, at least have our future quarterback learn behind him.

2. Andy needs to swallow his pride and hire an actual offensive coordinator who calls the plays. His gadget, horizontal screen passes that take 20 minutes to develop are not a viable means to succeed in today's NFL.

3. Let me reiterate, Andy needs to give up play calling for this team. I've seen better time management in a McDonald's playplace than Andy at the end of a tight game.

4. If steps 1-3 aren't followed, our best hope is to reach the ceiling we've hit the last two seasons.

I will always love the Chiefs. I do admit that the heartbreaks do get easier to swallow with time.

The Hunts absolutely do not care about winning another Super Bowl.

2016 will be considered a "successful season" by them. That's the problem.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand it went down just like I said it would at the beginning of the year:

1) Back to the playoffs
2) No wild card for KC this year
3) Get fisted by Pittsburgh

Up yours, McCloud; I WIN.

Hard to beat the refs and the Steelers too.

But of course, it's not rigged. Chiefs held their opponent to NO TOUCHDOWNS IN ARROWHEAD. AND LOST.

But it's not rigged.

Who gives a fuck what you think? You've posted dozens of times on CP stating how the NFL is rigged and then you state Clark doesn't care about winning. Do you see how stupid that makes you look?

I hope you get eaten by a bear in Montana this summer.

I thought this could be the year to break through to at least the AFCCG once the 2 seed was secured. They say get the bye and home field and it will fall into place.

Pretty remarkable to hold Pitt out of the end zone completely yet still find a way to Chief it up.

I dont think this offense as it is today is capable of a deep playoff run. Need more than misdirection and trickery.

We weren't beating the Patriots anyway so I guess I'm not too upset. Remember the thread about why do we sell AFC WestChamps gear? This is why. It's the only thing we have to celebrate. The Chiefs are one small step above the Browns, Bengals and Lions in postseason success.

I watch mostly to laugh at the rigging. The spectacle. The soap opera. It's like WWE to me. Male soap opera. It's intriguing.

It's not a legitimate competition, though. It's "reality TV", and all that that entails.

I don't give the WWNFL my money anymore though. My Chiefs hoodie is ratty, my Berry jersey 7 years worn...my ticket to the game was free, and I snuck in a flask and 2 bottles of water.

Like everyone, I got Chiefs fever this year and really had that small glimmer that this could be "our year", the way they were winning was "Lightning in a bottle" and "destiny". Indeed, the AFC is weak as **** this year too, but...

**** the NFL.

Honestly no one here should be surprised about what happened last night. It's not a coincidence that 13 of the last 14 Super Bowls featured AFC QB's named Manning, Brady and Roethlisberger. The NFL knows what it wants..

So glad I don't have season tix anymore, and I'm super glad I no longer live in Jackson CO. I'm almost done watching them on TV; so much wasted time.

Or if they score 12 and the Chiefs sfore 9 in 5 quarters of play - they call that "extra Chiefy".
