Only post nice things about Alex Smith in this thread. Do not come in here and start calling him worthless he did however win 2 playoff games in his 12 year career and as most recent last year against the Texans with B. Hoyer at quarterback.

If you like Alex Smith and don't want to hear negativity about him this thread is for you.

This is not a debate thread don't like it don't post in it but I can't make you not post in it just give the Alex Smith lovers space.

I posted in the other thread why I don't think he's the answer. In the spirit of the thread, I'll focus on the positive.

Alex Smith keeps every game close. Even if they're getting murdered early on, he has a pretty incredible ability to climb back and bring the game down to the last drive. And while he sucked at closing games early in his career, he's become actually pretty decent late in the 4Q lately.

The other thing I'll say about Alex is... while I don't think he can make great talent great, I think he can take terrible talent and make them passable. A few years ago, he had an effective season with a miserable OL and WRs. Which is why I think it's a mistake to load him with offensive weapons.
