From his Friday column...

Kansas City Chiefs: A developmental quarterback is what the fans want, but a source in the front office told me a defensive-front-seven pick is more likely in Round 1—if the Chiefs don't trade back. "We're in a prime trade-back spot, so I could see that happening too" said the source.

I think he's from the KC area and seems to talk about the Chiefs a lot on his twitter feed. That's all I know.

The first sentence of the entire article is all you need to know.

"It's lying season in the NFL."

Trade back??? For... more draft picks? They've got TEN.

For next year's QB draft class. Dorsey is playing chess not checkers.

The talking heads never seem to know what Dorsey is gonna do. Now 7 weeks before the draft a front office person is saying we'll trade down or draft a certain position.

Guys we're drafting a QB

Haason Reddick please. They can line him up at any LB position and he has the athleticism and mentality to eventually replace DJ.

Why do they think we want a developmental quarterback?

When it comes to maneuvering in the draft Dorsey is playing fucking tic tac toe.

He writes for a clickbait factory and doesn't really care to be right.

First I roll my eyes, then I point out that we have ten picks this draft thanks to Dorsey's brilliant manipulation of free agency and compensatory picks.

Yet, he has KC taking Mahomes in his latest mock.

I never understood trading back. For instance if we just take Jones in the first we could have had him for 5 years instead of 4.

Yeah but if you did that you wouldn't have been able to pick KeiVarae Russell

Oh shucks, with how many good picks Dorsey has made he has also wasted a lot of picks too

Amen brother and if he is not there at 27 then trade back. But Dorsey likes to use Miller to play poker :D

I will take a flier on a 4th rounder who can study. For all of Andy's dick swinging, we really don't have the QB depth I would expect.

Yup. And even if they do end up taking one early on day 1 or 2, he probably won't get a chance to start for at least another season, maybe longer, depending on how well Alex plays next year and how far the team gets.

The Chiefs got a top 15 caliber talent in rd 2 and got a 4th rd pick to select Parker Ehinger, who looked like a solid starter in 5 games before he got hurt.

All about value

As much as I don't want to, I kind of believe this.
