Not every KU fan thinks that. A rival is generally a team in your own conference, sometimes with some bad blood, and each team wins some of the games. That pretty much describes MU/KU. It was hard to say that about KSU in the past but they've been much better in recent years and have pulled out a few wins in Manhattan. Don't care about MU and whether KU ever agrees to renew the series.

KU schedules for recruiting. WSU does nothing to increase the scope of our exposure, and nothing for recruits who want to play the big names like Duke/UK. That and the fact that WSU hasn't actually asked to play KU, they just like to make noise about KU doesn't want to play them, when in fact they haven't even asked to play a series.
