He is still the guy I feel best about turning things around. One, he's a professional hitter. Two, he's basically a .225 hitter anyway. This is pretty much who he is, boom or bust. He's on pace to hit over 20 HRs. The power is there. He just needs one hot streak or two and he'll get his average up where it should be.

I didn't see the plays as I have no investments in either the Royals or the Orioles. I was speaking in generalization toward a comment at the Cubs. Soler was benched multiple times because he routinely didn't hustle and yes, he is not a very good defender.
