I may be biased but KC fans are pretty high IQ fans IMO. Hammel didn't pitch lights out but made a great recovery to go deeper in that game. Love the applause the fans gave him for a 3 run game. You don't see that at every park.

Well, he's probably not quite this good but it is very promising that he has responded this way after struggling a bit at the end of last year once the book was out on him. If he can be a .270-.275 guy and hit 12-15 homers for the next 5 years, he'd be a major find especially considering the dark hole that the 2nd base position has been for the Royals(one glorious stretch of 2015 aside).
