In a league where they are one of 5 teams above .500, they will be on cruise control until the postseason. On top of having one of the best offensive cores, a top-3 bullpen, and the best starting staff in baseball by a large margin.

So if the new definition of regression is likely finishing with the best record in the NL and a NL West title, then absolutely. They aren't a squad with average talent that has lucked their way to the top of baseball, that team is stacked from top-to-bottom. They have everything to prove, once the postseason comes around.

in my 30 plus years watching Dodgers baseball, this is by far the best team i have seen. The depth everywhere is insane. in Sept, you are going to see even more of our farm system come up. We have 2 players im super excited for Walker Buehler (RHP) and Alex Verdugo (OF) We have more then that, but i think these 2 guys will be on the team sooner rather then later.

I dont see this team slowing down. The issues they have had the last few years they do not have anymore.

The problem with this game is that Maeda really wasn't in the zone much and our guys were getting screwed when taking pitches that they were correct in doing so while Hammel was getting screwed on obvious strikes. Directly led to their third run which is what's frustrating.

The other bummer is that it seems Detroit made their last stand against us. Not gonna be surprised at all to see us 4 back at the AS break.
