The guy is a natural athlete.

I think we all know that if this guy stays healthy and just learns the position his athletic ability makes him that potential to be a truly elite player.

Good thing they fired Dorsey

You don't seem like a fun person to bring to parties.

How TF does this guy fall to the 2nd round?

A lot GMs straight failed passing on him.......

It was one of the the best DL classes ever on paper and he came out "a year too early".

That's what Dorsey was so good at. Finding value.

I knew Jones was going to be a stud before we drafted him though and said as much on CP :D

He almost always gets those huge arms and mitts into his guy first, and combines that with the bucket strength, quickness and lateral agility to control things immediately

Even against guys listed roughly as large as him, he always looks like the much bigger man... I havent been so impressed with a rookie performance at any position in a long time, he is clearly a natural

I'm looking forward to seeing his progress more than any other player

It sure is prior to him needing a new contract.

Maybe Veach is too, and was a reason Dorsey became expendable

I'll give Veach an honest shot. He's been with Reid for a long time so knows what he looks for in talent and has had several years to learn from Dorsey and the others involved in talent evaluation with the Chiefs so he knows the cybermetrics/qualities looked for in grading new talents.

He's good.

And Tanoh has a lot of the same characteristics that make Jones so good, but he's more raw.

It was one of Dorseys best picks. This guy could be in the HOF one day if he keeps playing like this.

So this year with a healthy Houston, teams are going to have to send 4 players to that side just to block these guys- that is a Huge advantage.

If Tanoh turns out to be as good as Jones- holy smokes!!

The biggest and most concerning issue with Jones was that he had a tendency to "take plays off". He also had a "questionable" motor and was noted as being terribly inconsistent.

Those traits scare off GM's.
