Hasn't played in too long. He only had 1 PD in 11 games during his last year playing as well.

He balled out here in KC

No. He quit and he would need a year just to adjust.

Husain Abdullah @HAbdullah39
It's disheartening seeing EB go down. Irreplaceable. Give the other guys a chance though. They'll rise to the occasion #ChiefsKingdom

He's played well for us before. I'd gladly bring him in even if we need to put him through conditioning for the first month and he's only playing backup. The season is long.

Exactly, we know what he can do if he's on his game. With any luck he's stayed in good shape. I trust him more than anyone else we could pick up off the street.

Give him a month to condition and be brought up to speed , and he's not where he needs to be then there's nothing wasted.

Would be a good pick up if he were somehow in game shape.

He's probably in about the same shape as Deron Cherry.

I thought so too - but he's a year (only) removed - well a year last may.

I was just thinking about him last night.

Would *LOVE* for Abdullah to return to KC as long as he kept in shape. Have him backup and get back to game speed and he could easily take over the starting spot by week 4 or 5.

How would you mitigate the loss of Berry?

How would you mitigate the loss of Berry?

Not by signing a 32 year old that quit due to multiple concussions

I would sign him.

You only need him for like 30% of your snaps.

That didn't answer the question. How do you address the hole that Berry left?

Is there a FA out there that can fill in that you particularly like? Do you see a trade in KC's future? Is there someone on the bench you hope to step up?

---

For me... if Abdullah is in shape, wants to risk his noggin, and can still play the game then bring him in for a look. What do the Chiefs have to lose in bringing the guy back in for a look at the very least?

And yet Le'Veon Bell will probably go the entire season and be an all-pro.

Nah... I was just really surprised more than anything. I'm over it. Still would like to know an opinion past a hit an run snide remark.
