How much would you personally pay to save Hos and Moose?

Let's just assume there's some magic kickstarter by a trusted source. If Hos and Moose don't stay for at least a 5 year contract each, the money is refunded. (Or maybe if one stays, ~half is refunded - if people seem to like that better - details hammered out before any money is donated)

How much would you personally be willing to contribute? My thinking is I paid $700 for a world series ticket. I'd certainly spend $500 to not lose Hos and Moose. Some people feel like this is just a gift to the Glass family. But remember, they only keep the money if the players stay.

If 1 million Royals fans donated $100 each, we could get $100 Million dollars. I don't think that would really even be difficult. I don't want to sign them if Glass has to spend the money, but if fans are willing, that would be more ideal. A huge Hosmer contract would really hamper this franchise. Too risky.

Seems like Moose, Hos, Mondesi, Whit, Sal is a pretty damn good infield. Hopefully some combination of Gordon, Boni, Soler, Paulo, Dyson(?), etc. could work in the outfield.

Not a chance. We've got the 5th worst minor league system now because we've depleted our stock of quality minor leaguers over the past 4 years, trading them for playoff-ready performers (such as Wade Davis).

Even if we hang onto two proven performers hitting their prime, we still won't have enough quality players on the bench or in the bullpen to get to the playoffs.
