1 DT arrested, one signed from our PS (stolen/plucked/whatever). Looks like Veach is going to have to earn his paycheck this week.

Last time they stole away a player from the Chiefs, it was David Irving.

David Irving was waived from the Chiefs roster on 9/5/2015.

He passed through waivers unclaimed, then agreed to join the Chiefs practice squad.

He was signed to the Cowboys 53 man roster on 9/29/2015.

SNR is correct, you are wrong.

 was he on the Chiefs Practice squad yes or no? Of course the answer is yes, thus it can be argued he was "stole" in a way.

First off, Irving was WAIVED by the Chiefs, making SNR correct.

Secondly, the Chiefs, as is the right of every NFL team, had the option of placing Irving on their 53.

They chose not to sign him and he signed with Dallas.

You’re wrong.

Stop whining.

Irving was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Kansas City Chiefs after the 2015 NFL Draft.[2] He was waived on September 5 and signed to the practice squad. On September 29, 2015, he was signed by the Dallas Cowboys from the Chiefs practice squad, to replace a released Davon Coleman. Not really stolen.

It's not "semantics", you buttfucking moron.

The Chiefs had EVERY opportunity to sign Irving to their 53 man roster but passed.

He wasn't "poached". The Chiefs willingly allowed him to leave.

Fucking drooling idiot.

No such thing as "stealing a player" in the NFL. It can't happen. Either you are on a 53 man roster or you are not. Practice squad is "fair game" for all 32 teams and there is a reason. Look at our present situation in the 2ndary and D-line !!! Which begs the question.

Now let's get to the real issue here and I have thought this since Irving's departure. Was our D-line sooooooooooo talented that we could not make room for irving ?? I didn't think so then and definitely not now !!! What coach/coaches/GM's eyes were "eyes wide shut" at that moment of time !!! Maybe this was all Dorsey's doing and it was Veach who brought Irving in and Dorsey who wouldn't put him on the roster after Veach begging Dorsey to do so because he would be "snatched" in a heartbeat. Could be another added little back story to Dorsey's firing.

And now they have potentially "plucked" another one away. Will be interesting to see if this guy sets the sack record next year for the Cowgirls:D:rolleyes:

Nick Williams.

I never understood why he was even valued by this team as a rotational guy. I NEVER saw him make a big play. Not even against 3rd stringers in preseason.

JFC.

Did we "steal" Harrison Butker from the Panthers? Maybe they were trying to get cute with keeping him stashed away somewhere for another year, but that just means they didn't value him enough to put him on the 53. If you put a guy on your practice squad, you put him there with the knowledge that at any point he will no longer be on your team.

Any team can fucking sign other practice squad players. We did it with Butker. We also did it with Jamell Fleming (he had a couple of "just good enough for the Chiefs to get by" games in 2014).

It's not stealing. It's not poaching. It's called NFL free fucking agency.

This hurts the Chiefs. Seems highly unlikely that Miller will be back for the next game. In hindsight it might have been wise for Veach to put Ross on the active roster once Miller was arrested. Let's hope there's a good alternative plan in the works. If Logan goes down, an unproductive d-line is really going to suck.

Cuck the fowboys.

Not really. You said in one post that the Chiefs chose not to sign him and Dallas did. That is not true. They did sign him to a "Practice Players contract". Thus technically you were wrong. :D ROFL

I am sure all this post will accomplish is getting myself add to "Danes Butt****ing moron list". :deevee: Obviously I realize that you were referring to the 53 man roster. Just poking at ya....

The Chiefs had the option to sign him to the 53 when Dallas decided to sign him to their 53, but the Chiefs passed.

Same with Carolina: They could have signed Butker to their 53 (giving them 2 kickers on the roster) but they passed.
