View Full Version : Chiefs That should be Alex Smith's last game on the Chiefs.

The rest of the season doesn't matter. Cut Hali and DJ, move on and start fielding offers for Alex Smith. This game leaves a positive image of Alex Smith for the rest of the league. You can spin it as the team gave up but Alex is still good while you're talking trade for him.

Probably fire Sutton too and give an interim guy a look.

This year was not the time to draft a QB that looked capable of starting week 1.

They should have done that three years ago with Carr who looked promising but could have been defensible to bench him behind Smith and Daniel for at least two seasons.

Hell, it would be best for Alex to be benched now for himself. Saves him the embarrassment of being replaced due to poor play.

I'm sure sorter can come along and debunk me here, but most of the big passes he had today were quick strikes off one read.

Which is fine when you're dealing with the likes of Kelce and Hill, but eventually it's going to get figured out.

That's fantasy.

Kelce, Hill and Hunt are the only offensive players sans the QB position that aren't replacement level.

The defense is entirely replacement level beside Peters (who has a distinct inability to tackle) and Houston (who is paid way too much money).

They have to find over a dozen new starters.

Nope, the calls for Mahomes have been culled now, because the cuck finally hit some of his wide open receivers down field.

A lot of things *can* happen.

It's not likely.

It took four years to assemble the overall best top to bottom organization through the draft which lead to the 2013-to present (kind of) Seahawks.

How many guys from the 2011-2013 draft are still on the roster?

What are we going to gain this year by playing Smith? We should use the rest of this year to get Mahomes some experience so that he is more prepared next year. This is about Alex Smith's trade value being on the uptick. Big picture time, sit any veteran that isn't going to be with us much longer and move on.

It’s time to bench Alex Smith. I’m 100 percent sure Patrick Mahomes can throw to a Ridiculously WIDE OPEN Tyreke Hill. Alex smith did very little actual quarterbacking today in terms of keeping plays alive, extending drives and helping the defense rest a little. He made a few fluky one-throw splash plays to make himself look better when in fact it was all tyreke Hill.

Fire Sutton

Go back to 4-3. 3-4 is out-dated in today's game.

Trade Justin Houston. He's useless now, he'd be useless in the 4-3. Get what you can out of him.

Cut Hali, DJ, Gaines, and Mitchell on def. I'd say trade Peters, but the Chiefs need someone at CB that can play. It's probably best to let him play out his rookie deal and then let him walk. During that time Chiefs should invest heavily in CB's via draft or FA.

I'd cut Colquitt post 6/1/18, would result in $0 dead money.

On offense, trade Alex Smith.

Defense needs a complete overhaul in their secondary.

No one is going to trade for Justin Houston with that contract of his and how he has played this season... So forget that. He'll have to get cut or restructured... Peters is still on his rookie contract. I can deal with his headaches for how cheap he is. He's still a very good player...

I'm up in the air with Sutton. On one hand I don't think he is very good because he seems to slow to make adjustments and he puts J Houston in coverage too much. On the other hand I see a real lack of talent on D. Our secondary wout Berry is simply garbage and we have no elite pass rushers or LBs. It doesn't even matter when J Houston rushes anymore it seems like he can never get pressure anyway.

Not sure it would matter who our DC is. I think we'd get lit up regardless.

I'm just stating that trading Smith for picks, which should be the move, doesn't mean anything unless Veach actually acquires talent for said picks.

Dorsey's recent drafts haven't netted much talent, which is why the Chiefs are in their current predicament.

Dee Ford, oft-injured Mitch Morse, the Keivarie Russell disaster, etc. and so on.

They need to really school some players. At that professional level you don't fail so hard. This team is missing leaders on the defense. Eric Berry is highly missed I think. You have over ego'ed players messing around and disrespecting the game and hurting their team mates.

Andy needs to let the defensive leaders that are out right now go in and give these guys some schooling.

That shit should not happen!

And I still can't believe buttkicker missed a 38 yard field goal. Its like when Alex starts throwing bombs we fail everywhere else lol.

I do think Sutton has lost the defense. Andy needs to part ways with him soon.
