Clash of the Titans (the original and the reboot were dope imo.)

Speed Racer ( this film is absolutely awesome to watch if you're baked or on shrooms. I HIGHLY recommend it ...bad dialogue and all)

Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves.

Yeah, the one with Costner. I know he doesn't even attempt any kind of accent or anything. But outside of that, I thought it was very well done. The cinematography is just incredible. The location shots are all beautiful. It had a great supporting cast. Morgan Freeman, Alan Fucking Rickman, Christian Slater, Sean Connery, Michael McShane, Nick Brimble. All nailed their supporting parts. Alan Rickman just killed his role in the film. Stole the thunder from Costner for sure. The story was very well done too. I know a lot of people dogged it, but I thought it was great. I can pop off dozens of quotes from this movie I've seen it so many times.

I've seen other people say this before. I still have no idea what a Crock even is.

Basically a plaster or ceramic pot. Like the removable ceramic pot in a crock pot...

In the old days they’d put raw milk in a crock to separate it. Then put cream in a different one to make butter. They’d have big ass ones to make sauerkraut and shit in.

Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves.

Yeah, the one with Costner. I know he doesn't even attempt any kind of accent or anything. But outside of that, I thought it was very well done. The cinematography is just incredible. I know a lot of people dogged it, but I thought it was great. I can pop off dozens of quotes from this movie I've seen it so many times.

As good as Rickman was to me it was Freeman that stole the show. Every line he delivered was perfect. When he’s up on the wall imploring the people go fight back still locks me in every time.

Gettysburg is like 4 hours long. It gets tedious. The beards look fake. It gets incredibly preachy, and it tries to turn ordinary dudes from the Civil War into lofty gods who speak in monologues reminiscent of Shakespeare in their platitudes expressed. By all accounts it's a movie that tries to be something it's not. It's really not all that great of a movie.

And I fucking love it. I've probably seen that movie like 20 times. It's honestly one of my top 5 favorite movies, and I really can't explain why. It just is.

Tin Cup, Willow, and Waterworld are on my list. I actually really like Tin Cup.

Groundhog Day and What About Bob? are classics and should not be in this discussion. Steven Spielberg reportedly lobbied for Murray to get an Oscar nom for his role of Bob Wiley. Dreyfuss should've been nominated IMHO.

Tin Cup Trojan Horsed a sports movie into a chick flick; nothing to be embarrassed about in liking that one unless you think any movie has to haute cinema to be considered "good".

I don't know why you would be embarrased to like a flick, unless it was Battlefield Earth or Showgirls or Catwoman.

Legends of the Fall

We rented that and enjoyed it. In fact for a long time after watching that I would shape my infant son's hand into him flipping the bird and loudly mumble "...screw 'mm..." whenever I could get away with it.

Pacific Rim. You know it is bad whenever you mention it and have to say something like, "I just thought it was fun and didn't take itself overly serious." Somehow I have seen that movie like five times.

The movie from this thread that I am most likely to go back and watch.. The Big Chill. I watched that when I was quite small. Worth another look I think.

Pacific Rim freakin ROCKS, one of the best sci-fi creature features of the last 20 years

I have a lot of movies I like that aren't particularly masculine, but I don't really give a shit, so it's not like I'm afraid to admit any of them. I think the big thing is that I don't have kids but still enjoy a lot of the Disney/Dreamworks flicks. I'm kind of a musicals fan, so I like shows like Pitch Perfect, Across the Universe, Sing...stuff like that.

Trainwreck, with Bill Hader from SNL and Amy Schumer

I usually hate rom-coms, but laughed out loud over and over

Ishtar. Ive always liked it. The bad songs by Paul Williams are hilarious. and i think the role reversal performances by Hoffman and Beatty are truly funny.

Would you expect anything less than funny??

It's pretty fun, and it's basically an excuse to have a bunch of pop songs in a movie. It's less rewatchable for me than something like Pitch Perfect, which is more of a pure comedy, but still fun.

I have a crock pot at home already. But I'm not addicted to it.

Maybe referencing the crocodile or the plastic flip flops that are real POS.

If we are doing recent kid movie Moana and Coco were pretty good.

I wasn’t fond of Sing.

Trolls is tolerable. Frozen is tolerable.

I wouldn't consider Tin Cup a bad movie or ashamed to like. It's always has a good reputation

Waterworld, wasn't that the one where Costner was on an old oil tanker boat? I'm too lazy to look it up but I remember watching a movie like that at my brother's house some years ago. I just watched whatever movie I'm thinking of once, but I seem to remember it being good.

Yes that’s the one. On the Exxon Valdez actually...as corny as that is.
