Clearly a clerical error. I've reported the thread asking for it to be moved.

My apologies for the discomfort.

I wouldn't go that far. There's no discomfort just pointing it out. Geesh!

Great. Now this thread is ruined. Can't even move it to the proper sub forum now that BEP has posted in it. It has that DC stench in it now.

Just delete it, mods. It can't be saved now.

BEP is like a demonic entity that cannot be exorcised. Once she passes through a thread her sentient being leaves remnants behind, forever corrupting everything she once touched.

I was a HUGE Satriani fan - still am, just haven't followed him as closely in the last few years. I even had him autograph a guitar of mine during a closed 50 guest thing at a local guitar shop years ago when he was promoting his new amp model. They closed the store, and we stood there and watched him p lay for a good 45 minutes. Autograph time I ask if he would sign a guitar, which was in my car, and he said 'absolutely, go get it'.

I dont wanna bombard this thread so I will just leave one more crazy band here

Guthrie Govan

probably the worlds greatest current guitar player.....can play any style....and shred balls out fast but also has passion and soul and bending...sweep picking....you name it....the guy is humble and cool....and just wants to only play guitar ...EVER

Sure, although most of them are early PT that was psychedelic electronica.

But otherwise:

Saw him around the same time in Orlando. Probably the best concert I've ever seen.

That was the third time I had seen him (once with PT), and he was by far the most engaged with the audience. The setlist was terrific (Dark Matter!), the visuals were outstanding, the playing flawless.

My teenage son and I stood about 10 feet from the stage. It was an awesome experience.

Ah yes I do believe we had a small discussion about the shows now that I think about it.

Saw PT twice, once in KC once in Chicago, the Wilson tour was at a small theater in KC that was very up close and personal.Actually took three 20 somethings with me(I was 53) and each one of them became a fan of his that night.

This is how you say everything without saying a word. Also, would make EXCELLENT soundtrack to a Trigger ****ing**** pillow party:

No other Floyd song/instrumental can even touch that. EVER. It's the greatest composition that band ever created.

My favorite version of One of These Days. I think Echoes is a better composition, but has lyrics so is not strictly an instrumental.

Stevie has done several Voodoo Child renditions but this is by far his best performance. You can tell he is higher than a kite and get a load of when he is shaking a fan's hand and playing with just one without missing a chord. His pitch bending the strings were out of this world. I posted this same video in another forum a little over a year ago. He was just simply amazing.

also this one even though the kid isn't really playing but rather someone behind him that is concealed during the shot.

No doubt. I saw this live when I was a kid. I just posted the deliverance one because of the scene. It is just amazing that Roy is just as good with a guitar and fiddle as he is with the banjo. But I think Trent gets him in this performance.:hmmm:
