I was a HUGE Satriani fan - still am, just haven't followed him as closely in the last few years. I even had him autograph a guitar of mine during a closed 50 guest thing at a local guitar shop years ago when he was promoting his new amp model. They closed the store, and we stood there and watched him p lay for a good 45 minutes. Autograph time I ask if he would sign a guitar, which was in my car, and he said 'absolutely, go get it'.

He might be a wuss, but he's sounds awesome with Dead & Company. I've not caught them live yet. I did manage to see the Grateful Dead in 1991 at Sandstone on June 24, 1991.

He might be a wuss, but he's sounds awesome with Dead & Company. I've not caught them live yet. I did manage to see the Grateful Dead in 1991 at Sandstone on June 24, 1991.

I've got some Deadhead friends and they were quite pleased with his contribution. I'm not putting him down at all. I'm a BIG fan.

He's douche though. No doubt.

That's interesting. I have an absolute obsession with them. Best band and music I have ever heard. And I used to carry pics of Led Zeppelin in my velcro wallet back in the day.

That was the third time I had seen him (once with PT), and he was by far the most engaged with the audience. The setlist was terrific (Dark Matter!), the visuals were outstanding, the playing flawless.

My teenage son and I stood about 10 feet from the stage. It was an awesome experience.

Ah yes I do believe we had a small discussion about the shows now that I think about it.

Saw PT twice,once in KC once in Chicago,the Wilson tour was at a small theater in KC that was very up close and personal.Actually took three 20 somethings with me(I was 53) and each one of them became a fan of his that night.

Stevie has done several Voodoo Child renditions but this is by far his best performance. You can tell he is higher than a kite and get a load of when he is shaking a fan's hand and playing with just one without missing a chord. His pitch bending the strings were out of this world. I posted this same video in another forum a little over a year ago. He was just simply amazing.

No doubt. I saw this live when I was a kid. I just posted the deliverance one because of the scene. It is just amazing that Roy is just as good with a guitar and fiddle as he is with the banjo. But I think Trent gets him in this performance.:hmmm:
