Great win and I'm drinking the Kool-Aid again.

One more win and we get the home playoff game against, probably, the Titans or Bills or something.

And had a nice return. And shut down his side. And had a strip. And made a potential game-changing tackle.

For me it's Peters. The guy was embarrassed and came back and responded emphatically. Could you have possibly scripted a better game for him? That INT return alone was huge and should've put the game out of reach. Hunt was outstanding too - no question - but a large part of that was the superb play of the OL. Just a solid performance in all facets of the game. Game ball to the holistic effort.

I say Peters. I've been just as upset as anyone with his lack of passion between the whistles as anyone. Supported the suspension and elated it didn't bite us last week.

This week he played smart, good open field tackle, and the two picks (I really don't like the deon sanders impersonation; running with the ball out in one hand).

But he put on his big boy pants and played like he wants to play as a team, win and to get paid. Reward him with the game ball. Make the three week lesson complete.

I gave it to Hunt because it seemed like he was injuring motherfuckers left and right. It's nice when you aren't sure who to give the game ball to, because we were efficient across the board, with a few playmakers.

Peters and Revis absolutely erased Eggos WR. Chris Jones made Rivers shit his pants good. The OL was great. Alex was really good and Hunt was impossible to bring down. Complete win.

Hill dominated and Peters played like an all-pro. Toss up between the 2, but a double round of Z-Mans (with cole slaw) for the O line.

This game was won the old fashioned way.

In the trenches, on both sides of the ball.

Game balls to Zach Fulton, LDT, and Chris Jones.

I'd like to say Hunt but getting 3 turnovers in a game is ultra-rare so I think you gotta go Peters on this one.

Peters is getting credit for that forced fumble, but as I watch that play, while Peters is trying to pull the ball out, Pierre-Louis is the one that punches the ball out.

Fact is, that would have been another failed attempt, and missed tackle for Peters.

I think the d line deserves honorable mention. Good job getting pressure on Rivers and forcing him to make a lot of bad throws.

I could've sworn Peters pushed the ball out. Also, wasn't it Ragland coming in on the tackle?

cdcox
12-16-2017, 11:59 PM
I watched the forced fumble a dozen times. It would be inaccurate to credit the ff 100% to either Peters or Ragland. Peters made a great rip on the ball and it came out when Ragland made contact. Without Peters slowing him down and ripping on the ball, Ragland probably doesn't make contact, much less knock the ball free. Without Ragland's hit, most likely the ball does not come out. 50/50 contribution.

I thought Ragland knocked it out, but I’ve seen different angles now and it can be argued that Peters got the ball to move slightly and Ragland’s tackle finished the job.

O-line. Offense goes no where without holes for Hunt or time for Alex. Every game they were dogshit run or pass the offense has been dogshit. No coincidence there.

It's tough because it was a complete, team win but I have to give to the OL. Smith was hardly touched and Hunt spewed his joo-joo all over the Dolts at will....I agree. The O-line helped Hunt to a heck of a game, and contained Ingram & Bosa for pretty much the entire game. Great performance from the line.

Outside of the O-line, though, Marcus Peters had the best game. What a comeback after the suspension.

Peters.

He's the reason a red hot SD team only score 13pts. Well that and a missed xp.

I mentioned this in another thread. I can tolerate the crybaby whining bs as long as it doesn't penalize the team and as long as he's making plays to help the team win, like CAR last year and tonite's game.

The Oline def gets strong consideration. And really it needs to be a co-game ball. Because the OL is the reason why the offense clicked tonight. During the Chiefs 5 losses, they weren't able to run the football....at all. But LDT is back and Fulton appears to be the better center over Morse, who can't seem to stay healthy. Morse isn't the mauler this team needs up front to get the running game going downhill. Can Morse play guard? I thought he did at MU. Morse would be an upgrade over Witzmann or whatever the fuck his name is. Fisher, Morse, Fulton, LDT, Schwartz ain't a bad OL at all.

Crazy to think we might be gelling at just the right time.

Revis is looking like a huge add. Sutton changed his scheme and the pass rush looks much better. Peters, I hope, grew up and he played like he loved the game. Run blocking has been outstanding two games straight. Alex seems to have learned his lesson about throwing deep and you'd have to think teams will stop with the single safety look. And our run D looks actually credible. Most of this stuff has happened in the last 2 weeks. This is the most excited I've been in a while about what this team has become. That was a complete team out there from top to bottom.

Offensive Line... With an honorable mention to the Chuggers Offensive Coordinator for going away from what was working; swing passes, running game and letting Phyllis throw the ball up for grabs into double coverage. I just shows that these "experts" can be as hard headed as the next guy.

Another film review, another game where I'm left wondering why Houston is in coverage so often.

He was whooping the Chargers RT/RG on probably 2/3rds of the snaps where he rushed. I mean beating them immediately. In fact, two of those rushes led to INTs. (Parker's and Peters' first).

I've said since '16 that I hope Houston gets a chance to take over a playoff run like Von Miller did when healthy. I think he can have that kind of impact if he is given the opportunities.

I went OL, not only did they limit the probable best pass rushing duo to a single sack, they were knocking jokers outta the way for Hunt... it was great to see, and barring some huge signing next year Fulton needs to be the starting center

yessir.. the OL had been really struggling to win in the trenches. Getting some ground game for Hunt opens everything up... keeps defenses honest, so Smith can breathe a little.

Need to bring the OL nasty back.. and it starts with Fulton at C.

Marcus Peters. What a bounce back game after an unfair suspension. The man has a lot more character than given credit around here on chief
