Chiefs' Tue. injury report: 4 miss practice

Chiefs running back Charcandrick West returned to practice Tuesday after missing all last week and sitting out of Sunday’s win against the Denver Broncos because of an illness.

Four players missed Tuesday’s practice: receiver Albert Wilson (hamstring), cornerback Phillip Gaines (dislocated elbow), defensive lineman Rakeem Nunez-Roches (ankle sprain) and DL Jarvis Jenkins (knee).

Coach Andy Reid said Jenkins had “a little bit of swelling on his knee” while Nunez-Roches’ “ankle is a little sore.” He also described Wilson’s injury as a “slight hamstring injury.”

It’s good to see West back at practice because he’s the Chiefs’ third-down back. He does a good job as a receiver out of the backfield and as a pass blocker.

Wilson’s status will be the most important one to monitor heading into Saturday’s playoff matchup against the Tennessee Titans. Wilson is currently having the best season of his career and he’s coming off a huge Week 17 game when he racked up 147 yards on 10 receptions.

I bet Wilson plays. He finished the game and looked happy in postgame interviews, so I bet they're just trying to help him heal up a bit.

We didn't win one game he missed this year. So, yeah, I hope he is ready Saturday...

I feel like Jenkins has been playing better but I also haven't been watching the DL that closely.

I doubt they're too worried about RNR or Jenkins, otherwise they'd probably make a roster move for a DL.

Encouraging. Hope this is finally the year the impact players (sans Berry) can contribute, as intended.

A hamstring can linger and get reinjured easily. We don't need to be without Wilson or the others for that matter.

Just IR Gaines. For the rest of his career, if necessary.
