I bet you've heard of this guy. What's your grade for him this year?

Marcus played in 14 games this year, starting all 14. He recorded 42 tackles with 2 assists, and recorded 5 interceptions for 132 yards. He had 9 passes defensed, forced 3 fumbles, and recovered 2 for 45 yards and 1 touchdown.

Great instincts, always going for the big play, horrible tackler.

Great instincts, always going for the big play, horrible tackler.

Now reverse that and see what you prefer.

Horrible instincts, never causes a big play, great tackler.

Yeah, I'd take Marcus Peters any day.

Is something wrong, or do you think everyone is just mesmerized by rhino violence?

Gave him a B+ and descending ability because of his refusal to tackle.

After he posted it the web page would not scroll past the video. It's ok now.

Had an okay to good year for him. Had some legitimately bad games sprinkled in early, but finished impressively after the suspension.

It was weird, because the first time I looked it was fine, and the second time it was gummed up. DaFace fixed it.

I'll be honest - I love love love Peters going after the ball. Yeah, there are times when the ball carrier will get extra yards as a result, but turnovers are king, and what he's doing produces them. Plus, you figure it'll get into the opponents' heads and they'll be more conservative when they run his way.

All in all, Peters is kind of a knucklehead, but he's our knucklehead, and he's really really good at what he does. Would it be nice if he was also a team leader? Sure. But he's the kind of talent where you put up with some of the tomfoolery.

A-. If he could keep his head on straight (not throwing penalty flags into the crowd, for example), I'd bump him up to an A.

Definitely would not trade. He is by far the best player on this horrendous defense.

A+ for me giving me the pleasure of watching soft, simple people melt down over him all year. Best year to date from that end. As for his play, B+ seems about right. Not his best year.

B+

Million dollar talent with a 10 cent head. If he matures and continues to develop as both a person and a player he could become really special. I'd give him about a 50/50 chance.

Solid A, would have been an A+ if not for the 1 meltdown. Slightly exceeded because I don't think he can get much better. I want brain-dead Sutton to wake up and let him follow the other team's #1 WR, so I voted much larger and ascending. I would probably not trade him, but for a pair of 1s, I'd have to think twice. Rhinos, of course.

He’s fucking awesome. He may allow a few extra yards here and there by going for the strip but he causes more fumbles than anyone else on our team and he’s actually a great tackler when motivated, like on 3rd down.

Biggest knocks on him were a couple bad games (WAS, @OAK, @NYJ) and the meltdown on the sideline with Sutton.

He’s definitely part of the right 53, though.

A- due to antics and 'business decisions', could easily rebound to A+ in 2018

Slightly worse due to aforementioned business decisions, dont recall them being this bad in years past

Same role

Stable

Wouldnt trade at this point

He played like garbage for much of the season. He got suspended by the team. He took a major step back this season IMO.

A. Ascending player. Top 1-3 guy in the NFL.

Best player on the defense.

Can't give an A to someone who got suspended for being a dope but he's the best player on the defensive side of the ball and I gave him a B. Kind of like missing an assignment deadline in school that automatically knocks 10% off your grade.

Obviously tackling needs to be improved but he covers guys as well as anyone in the league.

Hard to knock a guy when the DC is one of the biggest dipshits in the NFL.

True. I don't freaking care if he rides a bike, isn't nice to drunken slobs, and gets pissed when his DC won't let him follow the other team's #1 WR. He's still one of the best CBs in the NFL. That's what he's paid to do, not kiss some ass.

Aggressive style corner which is needed. Him with Berry being back next year will be great.

Despite any quibbles we might have, we think very highly of Mr. Peters, believe that his best is yet to come, and we want to see much more of him.

Great player. Ideal situation is a consistent player plays across from him that lets Peters stay aggressive. Berry behind him next year should fix the few times that Peters got burned deep this year.

Guess we'll see how wrong (or right) we were about his trade value.
