Andy was never sending him there. The Browns are crap and he would not do Alex dirty like that unless he wanted it. Alex said yesterday the Browns suck so you knew right them that wasn't happening. Norwns will have no choice but to draft a QB because Kirk would only go there if they paid him a rediculus salary.

If Dorsey has a brain he will draft Josh Allen. That kid can ball and has a strong arm like a whip. He's the best prospect in my book. Yes he played at a small school but so did many great QBs. Ben, Flacco and many others.

Glad some other team is wasting their millions on an average QB that runs from phantom pressure and it's no longer the Chiefs.

Yep. NFL Network said the Chiefs gave him a say as to where he was going.

Yeah, and they probably gave him some teams that were off limits, like the Broncos. Alex and the 49ers did the same thing they had a mutual agreement so he did not go to a team in their division. Just goes to show how well he handles things and the respect he has for his work place.

He could become the mayor of Washington, D.C., the point is he is no longer a KC Chief so he's a non-factor from a Chiefs perspective moving forward.

Your entire existence on this message board has been to defend Alex Smith.

He's gone now, and you should be too.

The Chiefs needed him to extend with the team he was going to, otherwise you do not get a great deal for a one year rental. The Skins have been down the road on having to tag a one year guy, no way were they going there.

he would have, if there wasnt a bidding war

the browns were never going to offer more than a second rounder

the skins offered a 3rd plus basically a 1st round value

what were we supposed to to, send Alex to the browns for LESS than the skins were offering?

I mean...the skins: 1) negotiated a horrible contract and overpaid for smith 2) gave up a great young player, 6th best CB in league 3) gave a mid 3rd round pick

why on earth would we settle for less from the browns....you act like this isn't a win for the chiefs here.....YOU are the one saying he wouldnt get traded....

this is your normal troll behavior.....youre completely dead wrong on everything and thenv try and spin it to say "I TOLD YOU HAHAHAHAH" after youre completely wrong.

we got MORE for smith than 95% of CP thought we were going to get and it was a bidding war between the Browns and other teams...

youre a moron if youre going to try and spin that as CP are idiots when you were so wrong for so long on this

According to some reports.....Fuller was what got the Chiefs to accept the Redskins deal.

My assumption is that the Browns offered #63 in the 2nd round and the Redskins had offered #78 and needed Fuller to get us to take their offer.

they might have started with the 63 but then offered 33 or 34 because even a 3rd + fuller beats 33 or 34 in my eyes

i just never imagined anyone would offer somethign that beats 33 or 34

its so crazy

i thought 33 was the absolute max we would get

Could be. I don't really see any players that they could have offered up that were going to beat Fuller. And I think Reid/Veach took Smith's input into it as well.

Fuller played at a level that you hope and pray CBs taken in the 1st do. Unless the Browns were willing to pony up 33 and 35 we easily made the right move, and even then I'd still think long and hard about taking Fuller instead.

im sure thats true.....so between SMith not wanting to go there and the skins offering MORE value than 33...they just stopped negotiations and pulled the trigger because they were not getting more from cleveland

This may turn out to be better than that considering we got a good starting CB.

This would be like if we traded Peters and a 3rd to the Jaguars for Bortles because we were too inept to sign a slightly better QB, Smith, to an extension.

No one is butthurt. Alex won in KC, he also won in SF, and will probably continue to win. The contract he was given shows his value. If his contract plays out he will make over 300 million in the NFL. If anything it just goes to show if you do the right things at your job you can take your talents elsewhere and be rewarded/compensated for it.

Blatantly false, he would have to earn every incentive in this new deal to even crack 200 million. That's still a shitload of cash, so I don't know why you need to exaggerate.
