Marcus Peters posted "11" on his Twitter yesterday.

Obviously a tribute to ASS11, right?!?!

Well, hmm...get this... Kendall Fuller's number in college was....11!!! Marcus Peters's new partner in crime is Fuller, former #11 at VT.

I mean, Peters is the dude who was tweeting a war or so ago, complaining about how the dunk and dunk shit won't win Super Bowls. Just got me thinking...

Well it seems Ian Rapport doesn't agree with the fans who are saying the Chiefs got over on the Redskins. He feels Alex is one of the best QBs in the NFL. He was just interviewed on Good Morning America and has said as much. I totally agree with him. Well you got your wish.

Smith is not a game changer that elevates those around him. That means he's a bottom half of the league QB. Hes not anything special.

Smith never tried to put teams away. Mahomes looks for the kill and the first down all the time. He had to play that way in college and will now. His ability is going to be electric and exciting.

Basically what that trade shows you is that even an "ok" QB has a huge amount of trade value. Because the guys who work in front offices or have in the past are acting like this trade is a normal move.

They're trying to stop gap at "respectable" and not "hot garbage" but the problem with that is when you try to find that QB to take over it's way harder drafting 19 than it is 2.

So are you saying Mahomes is guaranteed to have better results while he's the starter? There's no telling what's going to happen but maybe some fans wanted to see him sit awhile like Rodgers did in Green Bay. Not as stupid as you think. Plus no one really knows what happened in SF, but there were some veteran players there that felt Alex should not have been replaced during their Super Bowl season. Which IMO caused the locker room to be seperated and the ultimate reason for the downfall of the team.

FACT - Andy Reid + Alex Smith = post season failure.

Mahomes might bust, he might not. In any event, it's worth a try because the old plan had a proven limited ceiling.

I don't know how this is at all good for Alex Smith lol he will face the Eagles twice the Cowboys twice and G men twice a year and the Redskins gave up a pretty darn good defensive player and Alex Smith is not one to count on Offensive drives that end in touchdowns.

He is going get pummeled in the AFC East. I think he also benefited in a weak AFC West division that was over rated at the beginning of the year.

He's won 3 in a row against the Eagles, he just needs to do better against those other 2 teams. Plus the Eagles are the team to beat in that division and he's done that.

We all know what happened when Alex Smith got replaced by a strong armed QB in SF. That's probably their fear and plus Sutton. That is all.

And yet a bad qb was able to do more with SF than Smith did. Some Chiefs fans are afraid of unknowns. They like to know their team can compete in the regular season. After that it's all gravy for some of them.

Anybody that thinks the Mahomes hype is only about his arm is blind.

Kelce seemed upset on the Dan Patrick show about the move. His words were just complimentary to Smith but his body language was not good.

Said he hasn’t seen anything from Mahomes yet. He hasn’t played that much.

Kelce said very good things about Mahomes during the season. Kelce will be plenty happy and this is a non-issue.

And we all know where Jim Harbaugh and Colin Kaepernick are now. Alex Smith should have never lost his starting job due to his concussion.

What never should have happened was Jim Harbaugh getting fired. If Alex and Andy were held to the same standard our dumbass GM held Kap and Harbaugh to, they wouldn't have lasted either. Andy would of been fired, you would have a Dline coach as your HC, your defense would br worst in the NFL giving up 30 a game, and Jeremy Kerley would be your best receiver.

It took 5 years with this roster in the same offense for Alex to pull it together and have one good season. There's no way he would have success with Kerley as his number 1, the worst defense, and revolving door HCs that arent NFL material.

All the talk of how Alex shouldn't have been benched is dumb, watch Kaep with those 9er teams and will understand why Alex was benched. Both QBs would of had similar successes and failures depending on who was traded and who stayed. I do have to say though, Kaep is a playoff monster. Mahomes is going to be fine. Our GM hated Kaep and Harbaugh, and gave them 2 seasons together lol. Your GM and HC seem to be on the same page. I have a good friend of mine in Maryland who is a life long Skins fan. He's super pissed at the Skins Front Office for not just giving the $71 mill to Cousins, keeping the 3rd round pick and Fuller too. Personally, I think Alex will be OK for them, and will probably keep them around 8-8, 9-7 etc. Might get them a wild card -Philly's gonna be the beast in that division for awhile- but they'll basically be treading water. Alex also has been very lucky at his age not to be injury plagued. He was hurt in SF, so as he ages and loses some quicks and arm strength, I'd be worried about durability.

It's time for KC to plug and play Mahomes. Even if the Chiefs go 4-12 (they won't) and the kid throws 20 picks, I don't care. We play a first place schedule. So throw the kid in against top notch competition, he'll learn quicker that way. I look for him to be a serious bad ass by 2020.

Oh, and don't be mean to Phillip's Mom or the CP will grill you and tell you what an awful person you are. So watch it!

Sucks for Alex then. He blew his chance with good defenses in SF and KC. Now he's going to Washington where it will easily be the worst defense he's had in the last 7 years that just got worse. He's never going to hoist that Lombardi, but we already knew that.

The whole time Aaron was talking about Alex you just know he was thinking, "This guy was drafted before me? I followed his career as motivation on my way to becoming one of the elite QBs in the game."

Ok, if that's what you want to make up about what he said that's fine. I heard something else. It was also mentioned how him sitting for a while worked out well for him in GB. I would like to hear what you have to make up about that. Andy Reid will never hoist one either no matter who his QB is, if we're basing everything on the past.

First five minutes pretty much shits on the majority opinion around here, eh? Good on Aaron and the other talking heads in that link, and thanks for posting it. :thumb:

Alex won't win one because nothing is ever his fault. He makes sure that's the case. Nothing has EVER been his fault because Reid, OL, defense, etc. In San Fran nothing was ever his fault because WRs, coaches before Harbaugh, OL again, Kyle Williams, etc. It gives him the ability to shrug his shoulders after playoff losses and go, "Hey man, it's a team sport."

Remember when Paul Tagliabue openly mocked our defense after the 2003 Colts loss? Remember what Trent Green said? "No. It was my fault for not scoring enough points on offense."

There was a REAL leader. Alex will never say that in a press conference, and he won't ever risk being forced to say that in a press conference.

THAT'S why he'll never win one.

Um, what else is he supposed to say? He basically said the same thing “He can throw the ball but it’s yet to be seen how well he’s gonna do”. Plus being a backyard qb isn’t always a good thing.

That's the exact argument you were trying to break down about his praise of Alex.

Michael Vick would take Alex Smith as his QB if he was a coach.

Vick was raving about Mahomes earlier this year.

Exactly, so glad they aren't going to make him sit so long they teach him to be afraid.

Personally, I think Alex will be OK for them, and will probably keep them around 8-8, 9-7 etc. Might get them a wild card -

Why would you want someone like that on your team? So you’ll be ok if Mahomes picked up some of Peters habits? Like him loathing someone on the defense and not giving his all because of that? Hella dumb!

I'd be okay if Peters rounded up a crew of about 20 hoodrats and then set them to putting a train on your wife.

My supervisor at work is a Skins fan. I told him "sorry the chiefs fleeced the skins last night" the day after it happened.

I made a snarky remark to Phils mom too. I didnt get any backlash, but i wasnt nearly as ruthless as you. ROFL

I'm happy but it's not over with, and if anyone is used to "Pulling Out" too early it's the Chiefs.

GBlowfish, I think you underestimate Smith, Washington may bring out the best in him and he may be a better fit there than here. Even after being "Veached" out of a soon to be elite CB Washington will be a team to battle it out against the Eagles and Cowboys. I'm thinking that Alex may not shoot himself in the foot the second half like he did here.
Is this something Chiefs fans are willing to admit to if he succeeds in DC? Certainly not us.

I'm absolutely not sorry he is gone, actually I ecstatic to have PMll in the QB slot, as I thought Andy was going to want to hold on to him like Linus's blanket. I think as soon as the trade goes down this static should end and we can go back to looking at the team as a whole. We may be the ones who might get lucky and get a wild card spot. I will say the future looks bright for the next couple of years for the Chiefs. I just want to see us capitalize on the opportunity in front of us. I just see the haters having Smith being compared to Cassel and he deserves better than that.

I wonder what the Chief's Marketing Dept. dreams up for a theme this year. "Win or lose, You're going to love it"

That's a lot of text diarrhea, but I actually don't think Alex fits in well for Grudens offense. Partly why the trade was weird.

Vernon Davis is right to be excited about Smith, he will be the biggest beneficiary of that signing... still kinda pisses me off to this day that we didnt grab Davis

That guy and Kelce together would've been Smiths wet dream, just chewing the shit outta those middle routes and nearly impossible to stop both at the same time... we cant afford Jimmy Graham right now, but we could've had Davis

Yup, Kelce and Vernon would’ve been a lethal combo. Kelce mentioned he owes a lot of his success to Alex and I’m sure Vernon feels the same (as they should). Look what happened when Alex took over the second half of this game, it was 0-21 when they put him.
