What do you think about the Chiefs' most prolific Liberian-born rapper? How did he do this year?

Tamba appeared in 5 games this year, recording 1 tackle.

A+, exceeded expectations, ascending, much larger role, would not trade

Here's the dilemma for me. In his minor action at the end of the season, he was pretty clearly the second-best pass rusher on the team.

The challenge, of course, is that he's playing on one leg, more or less (which says a lot about our pass rush). I'd actually give him a decent grade for his time on the field, but he was obviously a disappointment in terns of availability.

For his own good, I think he should be off the team next year. I want the guy to be able to walk when he's 50. I thank him for his great service to the team and wish him well.

F--------------------------------------

On a scale of 1-100, I give him a .00001, especially considering his $8 million dollar salary.

Who the **** gave him a B? MORON

I'm kind of that moron. I got panicked and confused.

Per my earlier post, when he was on the field (for that short while) he got more pressure than the rest of our team. But that wasn't very long, so I should have graded him on 16 games instead of 0.3 games or whatever. I accept your censure and apologize to the public.

True enough. There were many times he got close but ultimately never made any real impact.

He’s one of the best pass rushers this franchise has had but stick a fork at him at this point.

Why Not?

Take him out back and shoot him. Then reincarnate as a coach or a liaison to the community or something

But not a rapper. There are too many of those already.

Realistically, he’s way down the list

Yep, way down to #2 behind Thomas for all time Chiefs sack leaders.

Given he isn't my favorite nor has he ever been flashy, but consistency and longevity add up. I mean Erik Hicks is #5 all time, and he was just a big turd outside of one year really.

C- and slightly worse. While I don't know the extent of his injuries, it's clear he's not the Tamba of old, so goodbye. I will say he did put more pressure on QBs i his limited action than Zombo and, at times, looked better than Dee Ford. Floats, naturally.

Behind who? Derrick Thomas and Jared Allen. That's about all I can say for certain.

Between his little preseason twitter rant, his salary, and his performance, I say GTFO.

In summary, there's a perception on Chiefsplanet that Tamba's flaming Viking boat has been pushed from the shoreline.

0.94 Grade (4.0 point scale)
-1.40 Performance Relative to Expectations (+ = Positive Surprise, - = Negative Surprise)
-2.77 Desired Future Role (+ is larger role, - is smaller role)
-0.94 Ascending/Descending (+ is ascending, - is descending)
7.18 Trade Value (Round, also, zero = 2 1st rounders, negative = wouldn't trade)

Tamba's contribution to the team in 2017 was still greater than his contribution to the music industry.
