The idiot that wrote the Tavon Austin article needs to go back to junior high to learn how to write a story. He talks about how Austin is overpaid and not very good, yet the Chiefs should look to sign him because DAT will be gone and he wasn't impressed with Akeem Hunt because his "longest return was 42 yards".

Let's wait until after The Combine and the start of Free Agency to begin speculating because as of now, the Chiefs have around $8 million in cap space, which will barely cover the signing of their draft class.

Will they cut Hali and Derrick Johnson to create more space? Ask Allen Bailey and Dan Sorenson to restructure or cut one or both? Who are they targeting as a backup QB?

The Salary Cap number for 2018 hasn't been made official, either.

It's just too early to start meandering speculation but this I know for sure: The Chiefs are going to get younger, not older. I don't see the need for Talib or any "elder statesman" on this squad because they're not winning a Super Bowl in 2018, so it would be a waste of cap space and time to bring in veterans for anything other than Vet Minimum.
