I was a Mitchell fan. Kinda bummed.

And Apparently Dorsey isn't going to use the top pick on Barkley now with Hyde on board.

That doesnt make any sense. He brought on Tyrod Tayor too, does that mean he doesnt draft QB?

You don’t pay a RB starter money then turn around and draft a RB a #1 overall. QB and RB are two totally different deals.

Also, Tyrod will start no matter what and he’s on a one year deal.

Barkely is a once in a generation back. Dorsey isn't stupid. But then again there are 6 backs with 1st rd grades.

If Dorsey doesn't have a QB that he thinks is a homerun without a doubt he'll be taking barkely. If he has a can't miss QB then he'll take a chance on Barkely being there at 4.

All that draft capital and money is really burning a hole in Dorsey’s pockets.

Holy crap.

Yeah I wanted him back too, is there any hope of getting Kyle Fuller or with him having the transition tag on him. Makes him pretty much untouchable?

Haven't heard anything about Colquitt. Guess we're drafting a punter

They are giving Hyde a three year deal worth more than $15M, including $6M in year 1, so it is front loaded. They selected Duke Johnson in the 3rd round in 2015, he's 24 in the final year of his deal. So yeah, they could go RB at one, but if you are taking Barkley, you are not spending money on Hyde.

The QB thing is completely different. They need a vet, you can't put all that pressure on a guy to come in and start game one.

I think the Browns go QB at #1 and then if Barkley is there at #4....they'll think about it. Hyde isn't going to stop that.

Unless he is planning on try to save Barkley until the team is really ready to compete. Use 2 running backs so that you can prolong the career of Barkley.

Maybe, maybe not ... always a chance.

All his moves indicate he's going QB @ 1.

Either way he's already turning the Browns around. That's not going to be an easy win for PITT anymore and I'm glad.

Dorsey has $100 million in cap space and a shitload of draft picks. He can double up on whatever he feels like.

Dorsey is there for one purpose..make Cleveland at least respectable. They could give 2 shits less about the cap situation years from now

John Dorsey is becoming the Jon Taffer of the NFL

I'm leaning towards whoever is still on the board between Chubb and Fitzpatrick at 4. However I wouldn't be surprised to see them even go for Nelson at 4

Dorsey is far better off to take QB 1 and Chubb at 4. Have 2 young bookends with Chubb and Garrett. Then 33 take a guy like Guice or Jones. That's my two cents from someone who watched Houston and Hali terrorize for a few seasons.

That is what I am thinking. He doesn't seemed to have learned. Is the market for an average RB $6 million\year. That seems really high.

A team like the Browns may have to overpay to lure in talent.

1-31 is a tough sell. And who the fuck wants to live in Cleveland. The only selling point the Browns have IS their $$$.

Also, who trusts that coaching staff to actually win enough games in order to stick around until 2019?

If they don't, many of these guys could be cap casualties in a few years.

There's just not much security at this point.

Hate losing Mitchell. He wasn't a starter, but he was good depth. I haven't heard what he got, but you know it had to be cheap.

Mitchell was solid depth, but I guess they're still going to address the CB situation in the draft and in FA still yet. Then we'll have June 1 cuts and the roster cut down days...

12 million overall, 4 million a year. Too much to be a 4th or 5th guy in KC

I’d rather have Mitchell than Amerson.

Yep. I'd rather draft a guy to take his spot.

With Thomas retiring they now have to address the OL more than they have.

Maybe a trade down with the #4 pick to later in the first might be appropriate.

I was a fan of Mitchell too, as a depth CB. I think he got a fair contract from the Browns. It wasn't long ago that many here thought he could be a starting #2 CB.

He is quality depth.
