These career backup Qbs have it made. Henne is garbage. Bortles owes him a cut of his new deal. They gave the job to hennein preseason and he lasted about a half a game.

But Henne can successfully complete a handoff. Just sayin'.

Yeah, you gotta be able to take the snap, complete the handoff, AND complete passes.

Bray has never shown an aptitude for any of that.

Henne is cheap. He can win a game or two while we rest Mahomes for Home Field Advantage

There was a time when you could debate if Chad Henne or Case Keenum was the better QB, so it's kind of fun that our backup QB isn't THAT much worse than the Broncos starter.

Here’s a video of Henne working a half with the Jags starters last preseason against a good Panthers defense https://youtu.be/Zmk1EdY7flg

Didn't know anything about this kid "Logan Woodside" from Toledo but when I watched this year's combine of Qbs I couldn't help but notice this kid who kept standing out. It's super valuable to have another set of veteran eyes in the QB room. Guys who have years of prep listening to coaches dissect defenses, schemes, and players. "When you play this team, you always have to watch 26 - he baits you into that deep out and jumps it. watch.."

Side note:

Notice how whenever anyone talks about Alex Smith and how good it was for Mahomes to sit behind him for a year, they always talk about preparation? It's "he really learned how to prepare, how to be a pro, how to be a leader in the locker room."

Not on fucking word is ever mentioned about Mahomes learning anything from alex ON THE FIELD. It's all the week leading up.

Sundays are going to be fun as shit this year.
