What the ****? Was his market just not as hot as expected?

Don’t doubt Watson Hopkins and Fuller.

That team is gonna be legit.

Terez says money is tight now.

I think our best hope is to hit on draft picks, and see if Veach can make a trade or two like Ragland last year. If he sees a weakness he will try, we know this.

Veach wasnt gonna get rolled by some player, let the Texans eat our table scraps

We have a stable of players roughly suitable for FS, not to mention the draft... I'm not huffing paint over any of it

Veach will backfill every hole we have to the best of his ability... we all know it was never getting fixed in one offseason, but that young sucker has earned some capital

Dudes been aggressive as a honey badger so far, let Tyrann muddle around on an 8-8 team while pursuing a 'winning culture'

Eh. He could've cut Sorensen and Bailey if they wanted him. DL is already thin though. Just not happy where this DL group is right now. We'll see what other cuts happen and the draft

Thought he wanted to play for a winner. Enjoy 7-9. Glad the Chiefs didn't sign him though. Too much of a risk and other needs such as NT are more important.

No No, I read on CP JUST TODAY that our cap situation has room for one more big 'splash' or two smaller splashes - Good grief this place is hilarious w/ all the self proclaimed experts. ROFL

Enjoy team brokedick Tyrann.

And fire your agent.

Cards asked to restructure him down to $9 million per, multi-year and he walks. Takes $7 million for one year. Book learning at LSU not a focus?
Laughable career decision here. So much for that winning culture comment too.
Looks like GMs knew his value and also read PFF....

Kinda disappointing we didn’t make a move for him. Dump Parker and Sorenson and hand that money to mathieu.

oh well

Sassy Squatch

It's actually the perfect team for him. So much talent gets wasted by injuries. That seems to be the story recently for the Texans.

I know...just saying what we could have done at the safety position.

Suddenly we feel like a lower midwest team again in a superstar pool. Meh..

I mean glad we got Watkins, but that is all we're getting. So just take it and enjoy it - savor him as if you would two spoonfulls of Haagen Dazs and then put that shit back in the freezer, immediately! Because 'Chiefs!'

Still not sold on Watson.

He had more than his fair share of answered prayers last season.

That kind of luck will eventually end.

I do like Hopkins and Fuller though...they're good players.

JJ Watt should just hang em up so he's able to walk 20yrs from now.

Don't think they'll be 7-9 if Watson plays the year. they were putting up 50 point games before his injury.

The Chiefs still need a DL or 2, CB, S and an OL. Veach made a couple of splash signings, now is the time to let the dust settle from the frenzy and start looking for solid bargains. Honey Badger is/was a risk-reward for the amount of money he's getting. Getting a couple from the draft still leaves 2-3 spots that need some help and they don't have to be vet minimum guys or stars, just solid players to do the job. 10 mil goes a long way doing that.

Did Poe and Howard tear it up after leaving the Chiefs ? Nope.

No doubt the market wanted their services but our brass knew they were done and would not get the play from them for the $$ they wanted especially Poe. IF he was all that Atlanta would have extended him. Carolina now is doing what Atlanta did prior with him. Was kind of surprised about Howard tho and why we didn't extend him but then again it looks like the brass made the right call on him as well.

And is Poe signed yet this year?

Man the Texans are the exact opposite of what Brett Veach wants. Lotta overpaid broke dicks on that team

Different teams, different situations. No matter how you slice it, letting TWO high level DL leave like that was NOT a smart move.
