Honestly, it’s something the white sox did for years. Just couldn’t admit they needed to rebuild. Took awhile for Rick Hahn to get his wish. This was the perfect opportunity for Dayton to rebuild this thing to the fullest. Royals will have a top 5 pick next year, so that’ll help.

This is a little over the top with the homophobic nonsense but I wanted the Royals to go full on 1997 Marlins after the 2016 All Star Break, before the 2017 season and definitely before the 2017 break.

I agree you shouldn't be banned, but really, our shot to trade our pieces was the 2016 deadline. Cain and Davis were hot commodities and both were connected to several teams (Dodgers, Cubs, Nats, etc). Moose had torn his ACL, and Hos was hitting like Ross Gload.

Cain and Davis then both then got hurt. It happens. We never had a chance to get better value for our hitters than first round draft picks after that. To Moore's credit, he still ended up parting with Davis that offseason.

Hopefully the Royals can take advantage of the picks.
