When some coworkers showed it to me yesterday all I could hear was Yanny. Only me and one other guy, everyone else were Laurels. I was so sure it said Yanny I thought they were messing with me. I got home and showed the old lady and we both heard Yanny. Finally I put the phone speaker right to my hear and started hearing Laurel. Now I cant hear Yanny anymore no matter how hard I try.

From the research I've seen, it states that you hear what you expect to hear and it's difficult to change your perspective once you hear what you were expecting. Which means, if you hear Yanny, you're used to listening to Yanny. If you hear Laurel, you're used to chasing after hot chicks names Laurel.

I saw a You Tube of people who were color blind their whole lives getting these glasses that restored their color vision full spectrum. One in 12 men suffer from some degree of color blindness. Color blind people just see certain spectrums. It was pretty amazing to watch them break down in tears over seeing color.
