Mark Reuss, General Motors executive vice president of global product development was driving the pace car for Sundays Indy Car race at the Detroit Grand Prix at Belle Isle sponsored by Chevrolet when he crashed it head on into a retaining wall after just leaving pit lane to lead the field out on it's first warm up lap. Most embarrassing. If anybody can upload the autoblog article about this please do. I can't do it.

That hump makes the turn pretty light on the exit.

Maybe he wasn't vetted on the route and the placement of that bump surprised him.

Maybe couple that with him having eyes on that upcoming racer heating his tires in front of him instead of the road surface.
