I find when I don’t have something for a really long time, whatever it is seems different. They’re probably exactly the same, you just remember them slightly different. Age changes our palates.

If she’s anything like my wife, she has no real concept of how big or small things are. She’ll hold her hands four inches apart and say, “that’s about 8 inches, right?”

They do seem a bit more dense than I remember though. Not the melt in your mouth, buttery texture I remember, but still quite good.
