This is pretty cool. A small, vintage plane had to make an emergency landing, and being unable to reach any of of the local airports, was directed to land on Lake Shore Drive south of the Chicago Loop. Amazingly, no one was injured, the plane was undamaged, and the pilot managed to fly under a pedestrian bridge and avoid all the cars.

All in all a fairly miraculous event. :thumb:

Yeah, no doubt.

I assume there has to be some footage of the plane actually landing, but nothing's surfaced yet.

Only 49 more for his Under the Bridge achievement in GTA V.

It is hard enough to drive a car on Lakeshore drive without crashing, let alone an airplane. Amazing to say the least.

I wonder if the tires have been stolen yet? Prop?

The most astounding thing about this is that the pilot was not shot once he climbed from the plane.

Obviously not Reerun KC. He would have crashed and burned up 10 cars.

He’s lucky there wasn’t a protest march going on. They already shut down part of the Dan Ryan one day and next weekend they are marching to Wrigley Field

Both my engine failures I made it to a runway. I’ve trained and have trained dozens of pilots to do what this guy did, but bravo to him for executing the real deal.

The trama will come when he receives the bill for shipping his plane to the nearest mechanic.

I expected much praise for this clever reference. :(
