Would really like there to be a Man of Steel 2, not Batman vs Superman, not Justice League. Just fucking SUPERMAN.

Henry Cavill put more thought into Clark Kent's football fandom than Zack Snyder put into all of 'Man of Steel'.

It was still a good movie. The best Superman movie in a long time. Yes - could have been better. But they really set it up to be a great franchise. They totally miscast Lex Luthor in Batman vs Superman, though. So that was disappointing. But they could move forward with a good villain in Brainiac or something.

Not to derail the yay Chiefs element of this thread, but I will concede Man of Steel was the best Superman movie since Superman II. That also is a laughably low bar. Man of Steel was embarrassingly bad compared to practically any of it's contemporaries in the genre and Zack Snyder very clearly had no idea what made Superman an iconic hero. Every element of it hit sour notes almost constantly. MoS even managed to make Michael Shannon look like a bad actor which is a feat I thought impossible. That said, I will also agree that the entire DC franchise only got worse from there. (Other than a refreshing moment of competence with Wonder Woman)

It is! I like him as well. I've been binge watching 'The Tudors' on NETFLIX, he's fantastic as the Duke of Suffolk in it.

Holy shit, is that an Akita next to him in the pic? Thats a big ass dog.

You ever been around one? They’re fucking enormous. My buddy’s parents had one when we were in college. We rolled up and it was barking acting like it wanted to rip my throat out. And it’s “contained” by a 4 ft fence. LOL. My buddy calmed him down and said, yeah don’t come through the back yard if I’m not with you.”

Later he was dicking with it playing tug of war and shit and then proceeded to stick his ducking head in the dogs mouth (!). It fit In there too. Dudes not small either. 6’2 220. Head fit in this things mouth.

Christ.

Seemed like a great dog. Just protective.

They’re a Japanese dog. There is a story about one that walked to the train station with his owner while he went to work then met him there and they went home. Dude died at work and the dog stayed at the train station waiting for him. I don’t remember the exact time but it was something absurd like 2 weeks.

The bus full of Chiefs fans
Just hang in air
Out over the pit
Of playoff despair.

Clark drops his glasses
And starts to strip down.
Mahomes waves him off,
"A new hero's in town."

It's less of a rip
And more a hat tip,
A Chiefs-related homage.
But I should have stopped dead
Or planned more ahead
Because nothing rhymes with homage.

If rapper Mac Miller wasn't dead at 26 and had you asked him, I'm sure he would have enjoyed coming up with a word rhyming with homage and singing it out (poorly, of course) for you. But...timing is everything and life's a bitch. Or, as MM might say..."Life sucks and then you die!" (What?!?...Too soon?...)

He's going to be the Witcher in the Netflix series. That had some of the best writing in a video game I've played so hopefully he'll shine as Geralt.
