That was one of the most highly annoying TV shows ever. As a teenager, I was intrigued by the concept of a TV show about a girls' boarding school. But they managed to incorporate all of the boring parts of the concept and none of the interesting parts. It's almost as if teenage boys were not their target audience.

Would it have helped if it was on Skinimax?

She had a good run.

It sure would have!
- Girls running around in their bras and panties
- Pillow fights in nighties
- Exploring their burgeoning sexuality
There were lots of opportunities to make the show engaging to a young male demographic but they made 0 effort. Instead I had to beat off to Mrs. Garrett.
She will be missed.

We'd need some notable casting changes. Pretty much all of them. And then the plot changes that Gadzooks suggests. If you did that, the show would be well regarded by males.

might be better with a whole new cast. Maybe Blair and Jo could stay

Apparently, the actress who played Blair was like Kirk Cameron, in that, she'd refuse any plot lines that would go against her Christian values. I don't believe she'd be a good fit for the Skinimax version.

Ironically, this is one of the many many properties in the reboot chute.

Looks like it will be a whole new show, with just the premise forming the structure.

But it's in active process at the production companies for Leonardo DiCaprio and Jessica Biel, who are pushing the matter to fruition.

They currently have feelers out for writers, so it's in the early stages. But the names above being attached made this 'newsworthy' even before Ms. Garrett passed.

Blair lived in my neighborhood back when I lived in Texas in 2010. Frumpy. I’ve got nothing else...

The Blair who lived in my head was unconcerned with such things. She also had a mad crush on Jo. :)

Her grandmother lived down the street from my grandmother (in TX) when I was growing up.
