Chargers CB Jaylen Watkins suffered a torn ACL in Saturday's preseason game against the Seahawks.

LMAO

Max protect and let Pat throw it 70 yards to Watkins and Hill every play against their secondary.

We'll be unstoppable.

Well they left a city that now hates them and went to a city that currently hates them....

There isn't much positivity around that organization.

Max protect ? Wendler my man, our o-line can't even put in their maxi-tampons correctly to stop the bleeding rush.

Good luck with that !!:hmmm:

Yikes.

They already lost Boston from last year too, so they have to be pretty thin at S.

Imagine leaving Cincinnati and moving to LA in less than a week. Sometimes getting cut is a good thing.

I almost forgot they have Derwin James. I’m sure that’s who Watkins was starting for because he’s hurt. They’ll be fine.

There was an article, Why your team sucks, to describe the Chargers' woes. It is pretty long so read at your own leisure:

Unfortunately it won’t be that simple with their edge rushers, but I do expect Andy to have a great plan ready week 1...

Gotta run the ball on those guys a little like we did last year.

Why Not?

I don't think busting a nut knocks you out for the year. After a brief nap, he should be good to go.

Given the number of children he has I say there's very little chance he ever goes down.

According to most of the preseason professional paid prophets, the Chargers aren't cursed... in fact they're blessed and will be winning the AFC West because of their superior talent. :D

...says the team that has been missing its top two defensive players for over half of the past four seasons.

I watched Phyllis and the first string SD offense vs. Seattle. They looked really good. Gordon can run the ball, Allen is back to uninjured form. All they need is a tight end. Could be a long day for our defense in the season opener since we can't stop the run or the pass. Why is Bob Sutton still here???

Everyone is already asking that question..

Is anyone still defending the decision to retain his ass?

I was behind him all the way up until he blew ANOTHER huge lead in the POs.

He really should be gone.

I agree. He should have been fired after last season. I just laugh at the cats here that bring up stats to show how "good" Sutton has been in the past regarding scoring defense. Deal is when teams move readily between the 20's effects the games in many ways - especially win it's a good team doing the moving or a shitty team that you let hang around. Both can find a way to beat you in the end... How many times have we see the Chiefs needing just ONE stop to win a game and fail ??? Just look back to this last playoff debacle for an answer. :shake:

Stats can be skewed to support an argument, and they are with Sutton.

I was arguing with a friend at work about DFS.

We got on SD and his take was "THIS is the year they put it all together. No big injuries."

I told him they always have a big injury and they always shoot themselves in the foot and underachieve.

He said "not this year!"

We bet $10 on.

He offered to pay me yesterday if I wanted it...

It's kind of funny and kind of sad, but I was watching the local Fox 5 morning show here in San Diego and they were giving away preseason ticket to the Los Angeles.....Rams! They were also hyping an upcoming game for the Rams.

I realize its probably just smart marketing by the Rams organization to poach the San Diego fan base as meager as it is/was. Very similar to the Chiefs going after the St. Louis crowd.

Has KC been doing that? Was curious how they would handle that.

There was mention of it when the Rams packed their bags. I don't know how aggressive they were.

They started that shit last year, man.

I was making fun of the Chargers for it. As soon as it was announced that they were moving the Rams swooped into the SD market. Within weeks, Fox 5 was announcing themselves as the home of the Rams.

SD's ownership is a fucking joke. They literally surrendered this market.
